"E-mu Systems Emulator III sampler keyboard, model number 6081 and serial number 038464. It is running the latest firmware (2.00) and operating system (2.42)... The EIII is the most powerful digital sampler with analog filters ever produced. The analog processing section has the same analog filters - the Curtis Electromusic CEM3387 - as the Waldorf Wave and Microwave synthesizers, among others. And its famous users include Depeche Mode (on "Violator") and New Order (on "Technique")...

This EIII has fully expanded memory (8 MB) and a 1GB CompactFlash card installed in lieu of the old, unreliable hard drive. The CompactFlash card is loaded with the complete "Emulator Standards" sample library volumes one and two. It also includes the E-mu Systems "Universal Sound Test" bank, which you will need if you plan to calibrate the machine or have a technician perform any maintenance. And if you ever wish to re-connect the original 40 MB hard drive (though why would you), it is functioning properly and mounted in the keyboard chassis...

restored by Jeff Blenkinsopp at EARS in New York City [see this post], one of the three best synth technicians in the New York tri-state area. Jeff stripped the machine down, cleaned all the cards, connectors and ribbon cables, re-capped the power supply and restored the original floppy drive. After Jeff returned it to me, I repaired the original internal hard drive and installed the CompactFlash card."

"Octave Kitten Monophonic analogue synthesizer from 1982. This is a real vintage beast. It has one oscillator but 2 sub oscillators so it can produce unbelievable sub bass. If you send me a message I will email you some samples of the synth being played. This synth has a noise oscillator, and the LFO has sample and hold and sine wave settings. It has an external audio input so you can put other audio through the synths filter."
