IT REALLY MAKES THIS CLASSIC SYNTH HAVE A MODERN EDGE TO IT! SO MANY AWESOME NEW FEATURES!

2 -THE POWER CORD JACK HAS BEEN REPLACED TO A 3 PRONG TYPE.
THE ROLAND 2-PRONG CORDS ARE HARD TO FIND AND ARE UNGROUNDED.
THE 3-PRONG TYPE CAN BE FOUND AT ANY MUSIC STORE IN ANY LENGTH AND ALSO TO HELP GROUND THE JUPITER.
MOSTLY DONE FOR SAFETY, BUT ALSO TO STOP ANY ANNOYING HUMS AND UNWANTED NOISE. (A POWER CORD IS INCLUDED)

3 -THE REAR OUTPUT JACK (NON-BALANCED TYPE) WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW JACK BECAUSE THE JACK WAS DAMAGED AND INOP.

4 -ALMOST ALL OF THE SLIDERS AND POTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED BECAUSE THE OLD ONES WERE WOBBLY OR NOT WORKING TO SPECIFICATION. NOW IT WORKS LIKE NEW!

5 -THE SLIDER CAPS ARE JUNO-106 TYPE CAPS AND ARE BLACK IN COLOR. I STILL HAVE MOST OF THE ORIGINAL CAPS IF YOU WANT THEM AND I WILL INCLUDE THEM IF NEEDED.

6 -THE SYNTH HAS BEEN RESTORED TO ALL THE FACTORY PATCHES. EURPOA DOES THIS WITHOUT USING THE 'TAPE IN' CONNECTORS. EUROPA CAN RESET FACTORY PATCHES FROM ITS OWN ROM!

7 -THE SYNTH HOUSING WAS CLEANED OUT (NO MORE DUST BUNNIES) AND THE KEYBOARD HAS BEEN TAKEN APART AND CLEANED-UP. ALL KEYS TRIGGER AND ALL KEYS ARE EVEN. NO STICKY NOTES OR ANY NON-TRIGGING NOTES.

8- THE ALUMINUM SIDES HAVE BEEN SHINED UP A BIT, ITS COMMON FOR THEM TO GET CLUODY LOOKING OVER THE YEARS AS THEY AGE.

9- MOST OF THE CHASSIS SCREWS HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY STAINLESS SCREWS.

THIS SYNTH IS READY FOR ANOTHER 20+ YEARS OF PLAYING!.."

Sun Boxes on Martha's Vineyard on Kickstarter

"Sun Boxes is a solar powered sound installation. It's comprised of twenty speakers operating independently, each powered by the sun via solar panels. There is a different loop in each box programmed to play a different guitar note continuously. These guitar notes make a Bb chord. Because the loops are a different length, once the piece begins they continually overlap and the piece slowly evolves over time.

Sun Boxes creates space; it's an environment to enter and exit at will. The footprint this space occupies is similar to that of a city. A metropolis. It's a burst of technology in the middle of nature. Unlike most cities I've been to, it does not just take over the space. Rather Sun Boxes interfaces with the environment and collaborates with nature. It is the perfect combination of technology and and nature that create art, an environment and a metropolis.

For the past two years Documentary Filmmaker Kevin Belli has documented Sun Boxes in several locations through out New England. He has traveled through the snow to a frozen pond in Plymouth, MA. Woken up at 3AM to capture sunrise on Cadillac Mountain, in Acadia National Park,Maine. And several parks and beaches in Massachusetts. The end result will be a short documentary about the Sun Boxes and we're planning a multi-screen installation that will show the piece in different environments.

We'd like to continue this process on Martha's Vineyard and showcase the diversity of the island's landscape. In 10 days Sun Boxes will be on a beach, in a field, near a lighthouse, in two galleries and on a working farm. Martha's Vineyard offers a tremendous opportunity. All this will of course cost money. With your generous donations I'm confident a $5000 budget will pay for a majority of the expenses. To thank you I'd like to send you something unique from the trip. We will be documenting Sun Boxes on Martha's Vineyard and want to share it. From $1 to $2500 whatever you can afford I will send you something from this trip. Photographs, recordings, prints, books it will be great.
