You might be familiar with previous incarnations of Rytmik, including Rytmik Ultimate for iPad, Rytmik World Music for Nintendo DSi & 3DS, and Rytmik Original Edition (and here), and Rytmik Rock Edition. The Rytmik DSIWare teaser was first posted here on MATRIXSYNTH back in 2010.

The are now running on Indigogo campaign for Rytmik Studio. The following are some details including the updates to previous incarnations you can expect.

Los Angeles, CA, November 14, 2016 - 1010music (http://www.1010music.com) is shipping bitbox, a revolutionary new 26HP Eurorack sampler that features an app-style interface to provide modular synthesizer systems with on-the-fly, synchronized, 24-bit audio recording and playback of up to 16 simultaneous samples. Use bitbox to quickly record the output of cool patches and electronic jams as high-quality files. Recordings can be locked to the patch clock and recorded to bar/sync boundaries, so there is no fussing to find loop points. For playback, just launch any combination of up to 16 audio clips via a simple touch screen grid interface designed for speed and function. Creative options abound and include triggering samples as loops or one-shots via MIDI, CV Gate and modulation. Use modulation inputs to launch rows of up to four clips at a time to easily create complex, new layers of sounds. Audio Export
Patterning now includes a highly configurable audio export function for getting your drum tracks out of Patterning and into the next stage of your process. It’s easy to turn your beats into perfect audio loops or entire songs in .WAV format. Bounce individual tracks or the main mix and save your files to AudioShare, iTunes File Sharing or using “Open in….” to save to Dropbox or other apps.

MIDI Mapping
Map your hardware MIDI controller to control mixer and sample settings, trigger pattern changes, and more. "Vintage japan analog synthesizer - Kawai SX-240. It is 8 voice polysynth with good sounding DCO and nice SSM filters. So, it is big and good looking machine, with cool led display, which displays the name of patch and some other additional info. The sound itself is wide and big, and you can add onboard quality stereo chorus effect. It has stereo outs, so you can get real stereo chorus sound, or just two separate synth sounds from left and right channels, that is synth is bitimbral. You can split keyboard for two zones, to get one sound from one zone and other sound from other zone. You can even layer one sound on the other sound on all keyboard, to get some complex analog sounds in stereo, really imressive possibility. It has solid bass due to sub osc in dco section. Also there is the "brass" effect which is just ring modulation in fact, so you can extend your sonic palette here. It has onboard MIDI interface. For backup of patches there are tape interface, you can easy make bank of your patches as .wav files on your pc. Patch editing is quite easy and quick, there is one data wheel for data entry, and 4 buttons for goes from one parameter to another, and every parameter indicates by dedicated led. Also there is joystick for sound tweaking, you can point it to bend dco and\or to filter cutoff.

"A Drum Machine. Difficult to give my opinion there are things that I love others less. Let's start with the ones I like the least.
There is not a real song mode, no AudioCopy / Paste feature and no Midi. These are things that I do not like or that I miss.
For the good things we have...
A rather nice editing mode allows you to play a Beat one once, twice three times up to 16 times (glitch).
Two customizable X / Y Pads (the Speed control is really cool...)
you can import a sample from DropBox, Box, Gmail and Google Drive.
(A small editor would have been nice). You can record your performances and share them. (No AudioCopy...). I like it... But... A Killer App in the future? Perhaps... I hope!"

In these days of quantum-level high-speed electronics it might be hard to imagine why we would actually want to use such sluggish CroMagnon components as the lowly Vactrol, (essentially a photocell and a light bulb)...

Harnessing these into an alchemy of music, fire, and light was the genius of Don Buchla who thought to exploit the quirks or so-called flaws of these components for their musical capabilities instead!

Nothing can match the buttery soft response this circuit evokes when commanded "to dance!" by an impatient pulse or envelope.

That unique flitty, percussive, Subotnick trademark type sound can be realized with these gems because they are based on the original Buchla 292 circuitry. There are four on this panel, each with a switch to determine if there will be additional Low Pass coloring to the signal as it passes.

Often a signal is best processed through two or more of the module's channels in series, and always a delight when used in concert with the Modcan 08A Processor's preamp and envelope follower on external inputs.

Below are four .wav file samples featuring the Cynthia/Buchla Lowpass Gate prototype, demonstrated by Peter Grenader using a single patch in which only the Gate's modes are changed. The attack time of the envelope is increased midway through each to give an idea of the full dynamic effect of this instrument.

Tweak. With all the synthesizer parameters immediately available on one page, you get instant feedback as you tweak. The two low frequency oscillators (LFOs) each have three modulation destinations. Each LFO may be free running or synched to tempo and the timing rate adjusted. The modulation matrix allows for deep routing between the Mod Wheel, aftertouch and 16 x 4 analog-style gated step-sequencer. Quickly change pages to edit effects and sequences.

Perform. The classic arpeggiator is complimented by the 16 x 4 gated step-sequencer. Play a note to trigger the sequencer. From within Arctic Keys, email the patches you make, then open them directly and save into your patch library or share them with Wi-Fi and iTunes File Sharing.

The RC-300 replaces the popular RC-50, improving on its powerful predecessor in nearly every way. Like the RC-50, it’s housed in an ultra-durable metal chassis that’s built to last, and offers 99 different memory locations, each with three independent stereo or mono loop phrases. But, the RC-300 ups the ante big time with three hours of recording and loop storage, more than seven times the amount available in the RC-50. The RC-300 also provides newly enhanced options for controlling loop phrases, including dedicated REC/DUB/PLAY and STOP footswitches for each phrase, an ALL START/STOP footswitch, and an expression pedal for real-time effects control.
