"10 rare synthesizer modules used in educational settings to teach fundamentals of electronic music.

Manufactured by Electronic Music Lab, these were part of I.W. Turner, Inc., a small firm in New York.

Nine very rare simple modules made in America, using 9V batteries. Batteries are not included.

The following modules are included:
Square Wave Generator with volume, pitch, and Low-High switching
Saw-tooth Generator with volume, pitch, and Low-High switching
Triangle Wave Generator with volume, pitch, and Low-High switching
Ring Modulator with volume
White Sound Generator
Filter with timbre control
Envelope Control - manual trigger, and knobs for attack and decay (Could not get this one to function)
Mixer - 5 inputs and 1 output
Electronic Switch with pulse width and rate
Theremin - On/Off switch on back of unit and adjustment for frequency range
Also included is a mono Newcomb headset and 12 mono patch cables

All with beautiful little hand-labelled hand-made circuit boards. In very nice condition considering their age - around 50 years.

EML Electronic Music Lab

"I.W. Turner Inc. Electronic Music Lab Modules. Includes Mixer, Electronic Switch, Triangle Wave Generator, Square Wave Generator, and White Noise Generator. All models except the Mixer require a 9V battery (not included). All items work, except for triangle wave generator (9V battery plug is missing). Someone cut the 9V battery plug from the triangle wave generator and I don't know where the black wire goes. The back cover is also missing from the Triangle Wave Generator. The sound seems weak on all the units but the mixer and the controls are scratchy, so I am selling it all AS IS. The circuit boards look hand lettered, but they may be printed I can't tell. From what I've seen online, these were made in the 70's."

Reminiscent of the ARP Educational modules. You can find a few more EML modules in prevoius posts here.

"Super rare EML synth modules. These can be used to run any instruments through them. Great filter sound as well!"

They remind me of the ARP educational modules. I don't believe these have ever been featured on MATRIXSYNTH before.
