RML Electron Fuzz Custom + Make Noise 0-Coast... Further Explorations (in three parts)
Published on Jul 10, 2016 Genshi Media Group
"These are further, quick, improvised explorations of the Retro Mechanical Labs Electron Fuzz Custom pedal and the Make Noise 0-Coast analog synth. These are all just rough tests as I continue to learn these recently acquired bits of gear. Notes below...
In Part One, I'm using the RML Electron Fuzz Custom without any instrument input; to create a dark ambient soundscape thanks to the Electron Fuzz's "Parasitic Frequency [Self] Oscillation". The Output of the fuzz is going into the Strymon El Capistan dTape Echo and then into the Eventide H9 for a deep dark reverb.
Part Two adds the Make Noise 0-Coast synth and the Korg SQ-1 sequencer to play a little grungy diddy...
Part Three we take away the sequencer and use the 0-Coast's self generative capabilities through patching to create a dark, pulsating, ambient drone.
(more musical demos coming soon, including integrating the 0-Coast with other synths such as the Moog Mother-32 and the Kilpatrick Audio Phenol.)"

"First quick test 5 minutes after unboxing my new Retro Mechanical Labs 'Electron Fuzz Custom'. This thing kicks ass! Paired up here with the new Make Noise 0-Coast analog synth and the Strymon El Capistan dTape Echo... I will definitely be exploring more with this combination!"
