Patch Flip Jam from Novation Circuit Mono Station

Published on Jun 21, 2018 HardtekStudios

"The Patch Flip feature from the newest update of the Novation Circuit Mono Station is amazing! I have a pre program jam using the Patch Flip function ready to play, and then I copy the pattern across multiple pads, modifying in real time as I go with variations and lots of motion recording. This was recorded into Logic with no additional processing."

Novation Circuit Mono Station 1.2 Update & Patch Flipping

Published on Jun 18, 2018 HardtekStudios

"An insane update has hit the Novation Circuit Mono Station, allowing you to turn on and off Legato and LFO Key Sync, use the Mod Sequencer to transmit note & Gate information, and best of all Patch Flipping! You can sequence a different patch for every step for crazy synth patterns and analog drum patterns!"

Lycanthropy in Space (Novation Circuit Mono Station & Akai Rhythm Wolf thru Moog Freqbox)

Published on Jun 17, 2018 HardtekStudios

"I wanted to finish this up so I could update my Novation Circuit Mono Station to 1.2! The Akai Rhythm Wolf is providing the analog drums while it's bass is routed from it's individual output to the Moog Moogerfooger Freqbox. The Freqbox is further manipulated with the Circuit Mono Stations LFO, Envelope and Modulation sequencer. All those CV signals routed thru the Aux CV out into the CV in controlling the Freqbox's envelope depth. The Circuit Monostation is playing the lead with lots of recorded modulations. Recorded, edited & mixed in Logic with a bit of compression, eq & verb."

The Synthorcist (Moog DFAM, Mother-32, Freqbox & MF Delay)

Published on Jun 7, 2018 HardtekStudios

"The waveforms of the Moog DFAM, Mother-32 & Freqbox are possessing each other into an analog demon of multiple heads thirteens of knobs. Cables ran back & forth connects their neurons into one mind of many voices. The MF Delay allows it's spirit to linger for far too long."

Funny action figure.

Quirkin' the Lurkin' (Moog DFAM & Mother-32, Novation Circuit Mono Station & Bent Alesis SR-16)

Published on May 31, 2018 HardtekStudios

"The Moogs are patched in the same way there were in the last video with a little bit of fine tuning. The DFAM is Kicking it while the Mother-32 plays an evolving filter sequence. The Bass and lead lines are both coming from the superpower Novation Circuit Monostation, which is also proving the CV sequence to control the Mother-32's filter. Finally all the other percussion is taking care of by the brutally reliable Circuit Bent Alexis SR-16! This was all recorded and then edited & mixed in Logic with a bit of compression, Eq & verb. This track was so much fun to produce and I hope it gets you moving' and/or groovin'!"

That Semi Modular BAAAASS! (Moog DFAM & Mother-32)

Published on May 27, 2018 HardtekStudios

"That sub is cranking with my newest all Moog Semi-Modular jam. DFAM is kicking while the Mother-32 has that beefy wobble. The DFAM is sharing it's sequencer with the Mother-32 while unloads some of the LFO into it's signal chain. Of coarse, plenty more patches are filling out this crazy jam."

Exploring the Akai Timbre Wolf's Unison Mode

Published on Apr 22, 2018 HardtekStudios

"A lot of people are really underestimating the power of the Akai Timbre Wolf. You have four basic mono bass synths that can be stacked with different setting, or even output to different processors for massive layering possibilities. You can even throw it into poly mode for some analog wave sequencing-like effects. The Timbre Wolf can be bought very inexpensively, so I would say the biggest downfall is it's large footprint."

Timeless Termination (Akai Timbre Wolf, Bent Kawai K1m & Moog MF Delay)

Published on Apr 19, 2018 HardtekStudios

"Download the audio track for FREE here-https://soundcloud.com/hardtek-studio...

The 1st track of the Timbre Wolf is being used to sequence the drums on the Circuit Bent Kawai K1m. Track two is the bassline which is going out of it's individual output and into a clipping mackie mixer channel. The third & fourth are sequenced the same for layering & output the main out, then going into the Moog MF Delay. All this was recorded then mixed in Logic pro, utilizing a bit of compression, EQ & verb."

Tom Cat EXTREME!

Published on Apr 12, 2018 HardtekStudios

"Time to get some extreme setting going! Mainly just for fun. Start the Akai Tom Cat with a BPM of 300, then it is run into the Korg TP-2 Tube Pre and Optical Compressor. The tube gain is set pretty high and the Optical Compression is also smashing the signal. From that you get a very warm & crunchy signal with plenty of sizzle. SiiiiiizizzzzziziziiiziizzzzzzzZZiiziizzzzzz."

Extending DFAM Sequences w/ External CV Sequencers

Published on Apr 5, 2018 HardtekStudios

Audio comes in at :31. Don't turn it up too high. :)

"A lot of people have been asking how to get past the limitation of only having eight steps on the Moog DFAM. So far this is the best solution I have come across, but it works pretty nicely. My Novavation Circuit Mono Station has an extra sequencer with an aux CV output that you can route it to, so this will work perfectly for the example. I could have also used the pitch CV out as an additional sequencer for the DFAM, if I did not want to use the synth or if I wanted a parameter to follow the synths pitch. I think a Beatstep Pro would be the best to use because it provides a ton of CV & Gate outs that could make up for the limited sequencers of the DFAM & Mother-32 (it has a sequencer, but is just awful to program)."

How to get POW.ER from the Moog Mother 32 to the DFAM

Published on Apr 1, 2018 HardtekStudios

"Special Easter Special. Time to bring some POW.ER from the Moog Mother-32 Eurorack Analog Synthesizer into the Moog Drummer From Another Mother Analog Drum Synthesizer.
Of course this is also a Special April Fools Day special. You can't route electricity from the Mother-32 to the DFAM, but you can route
Pulse
Oscillator
Waveform &
Envelope
Release
POW.ER-Get it!?!? April Fools!"

I Touch too Much! (Getting Handsy with the Moog DFAM)

Published on Mar 29, 2018 HardtekStudios

"In this video, I become part of the Moog DFAM by using my fingers on the other end of a patch cable to tweak the FM amount. Otherwise, the sequence is just a melodic percussion pattern. At the end, I show off how the sequencer at high speeds becomes a new sound source by running the sequence so fast it buzzes like a waveform!"

Direct Circuit To Nerve (Novation Circuit & Circuit Mono Station)

Published on Mar 25, 2018 HardtekStudios

"Download the audio track here for FREE-https://soundcloud.com/hardtek-studio...
The Novation Circuit has the duty of producing an entire Electro Track. The bassline of course is produced by the Novation Circuit Mono Station. The rest of the jam is created from the original Novation Circuit Groovebox. everything is then recorded into Logic where EQ, compression and reverb was added to the mix."

The Moog Fox Red (Moog DFAM, Mother-32 & Freqbox)

Published on Mar 22, 2018 HardtekStudios

"For this semi-modular all Moog jam, I have run the Mother-32 thru the Moog Freqbox. The DFAM is sharing one of it's envelopes with the Freqbox to control it's FM Amount. The Mother-32 is also sharing some CV power with the DFAM, using it's Mult to provide maximum sequencer tweaker power! Lots more interesting patches control other characteristics of this fun jam."

Alienoids Attark! (Akai Tom cat thru Korg TP-2 w/ Circuit Bent Kawai K1m)

Published on Mar 15, 2018 HardtekStudios

"For this track, different types of gear will team up to battle the Attark of the Alienoids. The Akai Tom Cat is going thru the TP-2 Tube Preamp for some toasty tube crunch & optical compression. The Disco Tom track of the Tom Cat is sequencing the Circuit Bent Kawai K1m. All of this recorded into Logic with some extra compression, EQ & reverb."

One Hand Moog Jam (Moog DFAM, Mother-32 & MF Drive)

Published on Mar 8, 2018 HardtekStudios

"Time for quick semi-modular Moog jam using a handheld camera instead of a fixed angle. The Moog DFAM is showing of some good drum skills with plenty of FM style blips & bloops. The Mother-32 has some squelchy acid bass running thru the Minifooger Drive pedal for some overdrive & extra filtering."

Beats of FM & LFO's (Moog DFAM, Mother-32 & MF-102 Ring Modulator)

Published on Mar 4, 2018 HardtekStudios

"In this little experiment, I test how varied the sounds of DFAM sequence can be. The Mother-32 accompanies with some synth wobble while running thru the Moogerfooger 102 Ring Modulator. Lots of patching between all three units to create a fun FM percussion line with some modulating synth."

Moog DFAM on Acid

Published on Mar 1, 2018 HardtekStudios

"It's time to prove that the Moog DFAM is not just a drum synth! We will start simple & show off some great acid bass lines! Does it sound just like a 303? No way! But it can do an acid style bass all on it's own! Recorded strait into Garageband with no external processing. You can see a bit of the Mother-32 in the screen, but she had taken the day off."

Tom & Dave

Published on Feb 26, 2018 HardtekStudios

"The Dave Smith Evolver has been acting up & I hate the lengthy process of sending it back for repairs, so I have not been using it. But it is time to utilize the word clipping/overdrive that it has been producing and have a fun jam with the Akai Tom Cat. No external processing!"
