cars on planet earth

video upload by Jörg Schaaf

"Befaco Rampage & EFFEXX & Valhalla Vintage Reverb at post processing. I recorded 10 minutes of noise and took snippets out of it to arrange them in a kind of collage in Logic. Some of these sounds received a special sonic character by adding some Valhalla reverb effects."

Flute sounds with the string filter of the EFFEXX multi FX module.

video upload by Jörg Schaaf

"The EFFEXX's string filter does not only create short, percussive sounds. If you choose negative feedback and apply less filtering to the feedback path, you get some flutish sounds out of noise. This time, I increased the attack time of the noise and added some decay to the noise sound. The pitch once again is controlled with the MIDI2CV converter of the Delta CEP A2. The CV output connects direct to the control input of the EFFEXX.
The backing at the end of the short video is from the Accelerator. Still my favorite choice for subtractive polysynth sounds."

EFFEXX string filter example

video upload by Jörg Schaaf

"A snappy noiseshot from the Delta CEP A2 turns into something different in the EFFEXX multi FX module RT-1701. The delaytime of the string filter is controlled by the Delta's step sequencer. Maybe you have not noticed yet, that the step sequencer of the Delta CEP A2 does not only work with the internal sound engine but also with the KB-CV output of the Delta's MIDI2CV converter."

TNT Jam @Home

video upload by Jörg Schaaf

"German text below
After many years of abstinence from the stage, I had the chance to present my music live and in front of an audience on November 17, 2023. This was a big challenge and involved a lot of effort, but it was great fun. With this video I would like to thank everyone who attended my concert. To all my friends who unfortunately couldn't make it for various reasons, I would like to present a small excerpt of what they could hear and see this Friday in the 'Theater neben dem Turm'' in Marburg.

My rig was of course equipped with many Radikal Technologies instruments. In addition to the obligatory Spectralis 2, you can hear the Accelerator and two Delta CEP A2s. I would particularly like to mention Crumar's Mojo 61 as additional instruments. I love this Rhodes emulation. A Roland JD-08 and a Behringer K2 are also used, which can throw in a few bad sounds here and there.

The whole session was recorded with 24 tracks directly into the Allen & Heath CQ20B stage mixer, which I recently integrated into my setup for live events.

The main camera is a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K (BMPCC4K) with an MFT sensor. I especially love this sensor format because there are an incredible number of inexpensive vintage lenses that inspire creativity. You can see a TTArtisan 17mm, F1.4 in this video. It produces a great image with the camera and only cost 100 euros."

Delta CEP A2 - Little improvisation

video upload by Jörg Schaaf

"A little improvisation with two Delta CEP A2 synthesizers. You will get an impression of the new Performance Step Sequencers. Allows for adding and removing notes at all positions of the sequence during playback & transpose.

In the beginning I set the left Delta into hold mode. That plays a note or chord until a new note or chord is played."

Modwheel Morphing Delta CEP A

video upload by Jörg Schaaf

"Just bought a new MIDI keyboard for my Delta CEP A Synthesizer. I love to control the morphing with a modulation wheel. Here I am using to snapshots for the morphing. The second snapshot not only opens the filter. It also adds more oscillators to the swarm and adds detuning. I am working on a complete video tutorial about snapshot morphing and patch managment."

Superbooth 2021 Walkthrough Tour

Superbooth 2021! Join us for a tour with many synths and modulars! video upload by Wine&Synths

"We were there directly on Wednesday morning and the first thing I did was meet two old friends and former colleagues: Jörg Schaaf from Radikal Technologies and Jürgen Michaelis from Jomox.

After that we worked our way through the aisles and let ourselves drift by the colorful boxes and enticing sounds. I'm afraid that Johannes has been infected with modular fever!

In between we met Herr Schneider, with whom I had already arranged an interview appointment in advance. After we had conscientiously worked through this, especially in terms of accessibility, it started to pour just in time for the start of our outdoor tour. That's why we had to stay a little longer in the Moog tent at the end. On Friday we will continue. Then we want to take a closer look at some devices together with Stefan!"

Radikal Technologies Delta CEP A - one synth oldschool minimal techno track

video upload by Wine&Synths

"When I started to produce music again last year, my old friend Jörg Schaaf was a true supporter and gave me a lot of motivation and inspiration with his extraordinarily creative mind.

So one day, shortly after I decided to get involved with hardware synths again, Jörg sent me one of his Delta CEP A test units for my personal enjoyment.

This video is my way to say thank you.

Delta is undoubtedly an astonishing little sound machine!

The most surprising thing during recording was, that I recorded my vocal as an mp4 on my Iphone. I just swapped it into Live and there was video! It’s not really predictable and every render is a little surprise. But it’s a really effective way to get rhythm into your videos!"

DinoPark Eurorack - Seven awesome synthesizers in one Eurorack module - now available

video upload by MakePro X

The DinoPark Eurorack module was first announced at SUPERBOOTH 2019. Make Pro is known for their MakeKit EX DSP desktop synth. See the Make Pro label for more.

"German Synthesizer Guru Jörg Schaaf from Radikal Technologies gives an introduction to our brand new DinoPark Eurorack Module. The module is a full voice, polyphonic modelling synthesizer module which adds a wealth of timbres to your Eurorack with seven different synthesizers.

DinoPark is an amazingly flexible, one-of-its-kind DSP-based sound synthesizer module. Utilizing CreamWare’s legendary modelling technology, DinoPark offers seven (7) models across different synthesis methods including subtractive synthesis, wavetable synthesis, FM synthesis and physical modeling. Resulting in a huge variety and spectrum of sounds - infinitely larger than the box is comes in! :)

▬▬▬▬ HISTORY ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

DinoPark is unique in many ways. Its seminal development and beginnings over 20 years ago, forms the foundation for its unique refinement and richness when it comes to combining the best of both worlds in hardware and software synthesis.

It was Frank, founder of MakePro X who was the father of the legendary CreamWare SCOPE platform. Roughly 20 years ago, Frank and his team pushed the envelope and set new and lasting standards in software based synthesis. Truly pioneering technology that was, as many say, way ahead of its time. With their uncompromising approach to quality, CreamWare was not satisfied with host CPUs so they added whole arrays of dedicated SHARC Audio DSP processors which were new and revolutionary at that time. This approach allowed CreamWare to lead the industry in sound, performance and flexibility for years – however, this novel approach also came with a heavy price tag which ultimately took CreamWare out of the competition for less demanding mainstream markets. Today SHARC DSP processors continue to power only the very elite audio equipment in the industry – having evolved in power and price/performance; now offering 10-20 times the performance in comparison to the heyday of the CreamWare SCOPE and NOAH platforms.."
