"The Kawai SX-240 is a 61 key, eight voice, fully programmable polyphonic analogue synthesiser released in 1984 as a follow up to the Kawai SX-210. It boasts has a wide, full analog sound, courtesy of its two analogue DCOs and one sub-osc per voice. You have the options of poly-8, poly-4 and mono modes. In mono mode it is possible to have all 24 oscillators stacked into one for an extremely powerful sound. A rare find these days as well as one of the most aesthetically cool synths out there."

"A standard problem like 90% SX series 210/240 Kawaii, the battery leaked and corroded part of the board.
The synthesizer turns on but there is no sound.
The synthesizer does not react to reinstalling *the sound* at the cassette input, no message appears, not about an *error*, not about a successful installation"

Excellent condition - a few dings on the side panels and a some buttons needs a bit of warming up sometimes, this is common for the SX-240."

"This SX-240 is in amazing condition. It was completely serviced and calibrated about 3 years ago. I changed the battery a couple years back as well as upgraded with the Tauntek firmware which allows full midi control over all parameters. There are some great max for live devices if you use ableton live. Also included is the Stereoping SX-240 midi controller which gives you quick control over just about everything."

"Kawai SX-240 in fantastic cosmetic and functional shape with a replaced battery and handmade mahogany sides
The only blemish to note is a tiny fleck of pant chipped from the top panel on the right edge, and some tarnishing of the jack nuts, otherwise this instrument is incredibly nice. it looks amazing and functions perfectly.
This is one of my favorite synths of all time, sounds unbelievable in DUAL mode. It is refined and silky yet capable of aggressive and monstrous sounds.
