MFOS ECHO ROCKIT by Elettrorama

Published on Jun 13, 2018 Elettrorama

via Elettrorama

"The Echo Rockit makes some of the most unusual I've heard yet and it runs with 9V power supply. Any seasoned electronics musician can play one. The great sound design will give you hours and hours of creative sound making fun. You'll make sounds you'd swear would require a modular and all in the palm of your hand.

SHORT DEMO AEYE MODULAR ECHO RANDOM SEQUENCE GENERATOR N SYNTH NEWVOODOODESIGN.COM

"SHORT DEMO OF AEYE MODULAR ECHO N RANDOM SEQUENCE GENERATOR N SYNTH NEWVOODOODESIGN.COM SUITCASE NUKE SERIES.
Just a short demonstration of self-oscillation & some quick examples of the possibilities of the individual modules in this device (echo & sequence gen) made by New Voodoo Design.
Of course, only your imagination is the limit when you COMBINE the two!!
The Echo is a modded Echo Rockit by MFOS and the Random Sequencer/Synthesizer is a One Song by Barton Musical Devices
MADE IN RVA USA"

Created a New Voodoo Design channel label for these. Update: pics and additional details:

via this auction

"Selling our prototype/first model of the first of the Suitcase Nuke series (all come in finished wooden cases and are portable modular units).

This one is the last Aeye, which we used to Demo the unit, etc-but its NEVER been out or used and is only a month old. All the others on the site are sold out.

Its essentially TWO MODULES:

-A modded (customized) Echo Rockit by MFOS (Music from Outer Space) which is a synth, echo unit, and a LOT more (see details below-demo vid only shows FRACTION of what it can do)
-A "One Song" Random Sequence Generator/Sequencer and Synthesizer by Barton which both generates AND plays via its own synthesizer-randomized sequences of notes in number and length that you set via the controls and can either trigger manually or externally. The sequences can also be used to drive other devices via patch cables connected to the outs of the device
Both are ENTIRELY modular and can be cross-connected or run by themselves. Both have their own battery power sources and the entire suitcase can be simply carried wherever, plugged in--and played. This unit, in particular, really has TONS of possibility.

EXAMPLE/SHORT DEMO VIDEO HERE:
http://youtu.be/JUnsyK7Vh3Y

Also, all units in the series come in rack standardized sizes (this one, would, for example, fit in a eurorack rack if you wanted) so can be taken out and mounted that way and very simply and easily included into a modular synthesizer system if you want.
Specs/Details:
Echo Rockit:
Simple 9V Battery Supply
External Input with Mic/Line Capability
Put external signals through VCF and Echo
Resonant Low Pass VCF Doubles as Sine Oscillator
External Voltage Control of VCF Cut Off Frequency
Echo Effect Processing (Volume, Delay, Repeat)
LFO Has Triangle and Square Waves
LFO Has Low and High Range
LFO Modulates Cut Off Frequency
LFO Modulates Echo Delay Time
Internal Oscillator for VCF Excitation
Barton One Song:

(Blurb from Barton Musical Circuits web site)"1Song" is a simple, microcontroller centered synthesizer module for generative (self composing) music. It both composes the melodies and produces the audio itself, requiring no other modules to make music, but it also features inputs and outputs for timing which help it integrate with other modules in a modular synthesizer system. It can ...act as a standalone music producer, powered from a 9V battery or power adaptor.

The melodies that "1 Song" produces are not traditional melodies produced from a diatonic scale and using duple or triple meter for rhythms. Instead, it composes by using algorhythms to produce semi-random numbers, and uses these numbers for it's pitch and length a note is held. Notes are held anywhere from 1 to 16 beats, and there are a total of 64 different notes which can be played. The notes are not arranged 12 per octave, but rather as divisions of the highest frequency, the lowest note it produces is 1/64th the frequency of the highest, the second lowest note is 1/63rd, and so on"

I hope that generally gives everyone the idea of what this unit can do. Again-its a new but Demo unit that has NO problems and WORKS great. Its actually the unit in the short demo video."
