"Noodle Rider is an analog musical instrument in Eurorack format, based on a four-track cassette tape player and modular synth. It modulates the pre-recorded audio loops from all four tracks of a cassette tape record, all of which are played simultaneously with the same controllable speed. Each track represents a certain voice of the instrument, that can be used as the source signals for further sound processing. It supports for pitch controlling through control voltages or programmable MIDI interface."
"IN A NUTSHELL
Noodle Rider modulates the pre-recorded single tones or audio loops from all four tracks of a cassette tape record, all of which are played simultaneously with the same controllable speed.
Each track represents a certain voice of the instrument, that can be used as the source signals for further sound processing, such as envelope control, filtering and so on.
It supports for pitch controlling through control voltages or programmable MIDI interface and allows amplitude modulation for each track on final output.
By switching between cassette tape tracks, modulating them individually, and adjusting the playback speed, you can create different sound patterns, melodies, and even complete instrumental parts.
The instrument is a combination of two modules:
Base module, the player itself and the extension module Sidecar that provides envelope modulations and the gates sequencing to trigger them:
BASE MODULE
A eurorack four-track cassette player with variable-speed playback controlled by voltages or MIDI, including four audio outputs and one gate output.
It is designed to be expanded and incorporated into other Eurorack modules or Noodle Rider extension modules.
SIDECAR MODULE
The extension, a 4-channel VCA controlled by envelope generators (AD/AR), with MIDI Gate Sequencer and Mixer built in.
It is designed primarily to create gate controlled sounds when fed with the base module audio source, but can be used for other tasks in your modular system."

"Channeling #soundtrack vibes in this slow-building Sunday jam, recorded late last night!
This is our second clip in a small series showing off the new #Plinky sound bank created by by @Meska_Statik. The Bank is a free download at https://plinkysynth.com/presets/ and works for all generations of #Plinky.
It contains 32 presets exploring lush #delay, cavernous #reverb, pitch drift and gnarly #saturation. For Meska's overview of all sounds, and a number of awesome patch from scratch videos, check out [this video].
Plinky is synched via MIDI clock to our #Stolperbeats drum trigger sequencer for #Eurorack, playing back a recorded note sequence. Stolperbeats is in extra sloppy "Kabuki" mode, suggested by our friend and expert breakbeat researcher @beatsbykabuki: Kick and Snare are super laid back, Hihats are a bit rushed, except when they play at the same time- creating this awesome push-and-pull #groove. In this patch, Enrica tweaks the sensitivity on Plinky to slowly build up a wall of sound.
Plinky's pitch CV feeds the lovely-sounding @Befacosynth evenVCO through their A*B+C VCA for a low-frequency, subby bass line.
The drum sounds are played back using the Samples II module by @soundforce_nicolas and processed through our #Farbshaper and #Farbhighpass modules. The shaper adds some extra dirt, the transistor ladder highpass is used with the kick envelope to get a ducking effect by modulating its cutoff.
The metering tool at the top right is a @vaskiembedded 2HP Lights Stereo Visualizer, an incredibly handy audio visualisation module. Our friends Stijn and Priscilla of #TiNRS @thisisnotrocketscience3942 made the one-of-a-kind Eurorack case from a #FenixIV enclosure.

In this patch, Plinky plays back a recorded sequence and is synched via MIDI clock to our Stolperbeats drum trigger sequencer for Eurorack. Enrica plays the touch surface to insert individual notes into the arpeggio, and tweaks the A knob to adjust sensitivity on the touch grid to get a grittier sound.
Plinky's pitch CV drives a @Befacosynth evenVCO through their clever A*B+C VCA for a warm, subdued bassline.
The drum sounds from the GRRL x Made of Oak Configuration sample pack on @splice - check out their EP GXM Inertia, and the 10 year @sylvanesso anniversary release for some amazing music.
