Demo in the listing previously posted here. You can find additional posts featuring the Multivox MX-3000 including demos here.

"The MX-3000 is a rare synthesizer that comprises of a bass section, polyphonic string synthesizer, and monophonic synth section. The bass section is fairly simple with a switch for sustain or infinite hold, a slider for release, a 3 position switch for brightness, and glide. The polyphonic section features a low pass filter, a lush ensemble chorus and vibrato effect section, an LFO, ASR envelope, a number of standard preset sounds. The monophonic section sports a familiar collection of parameters including, selectable waveform oscillator, noise generator, LFO, a resonant low pass VCF, 2 ADSRs, and VCA. All of which feed into a mixer section for arranging levels for optimal performance."

V.A.I. 56 Elka Wilgamat / Multivox MX-3000

video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

"With a little help from external effects, the Wilgamat auto accompaniment machine really shines brighter than a lot of the other Tanz-nite units out there.
It's a good match with the rare Multivox MX-3000 in our opinion, lots of wonky tones you really don't get out of your standard Roland / Korg gear.

The Multivox synthesizer is really a 4 section divide down string machine and poly synth with an added Monophonic synth section.
It's a little reminiscent of the Crumar Composer but the polyphonic section really has more going on - with a great filter, slide and glide modulation, two different choruses and on and on.
We're still exploring the complete set of possibilities of this beast of a string machine / mono combo. It might even make a great cappuccino.

V.A.I. 55 Elka Wilgamat / Multivox MX-3000

video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

"Another spin with these twooddbalss: The Elka Wilgamat and Multivox MX-3000.
The Elka Wilgamat is probably a bit familiar to our viewers by now - an Italian auto-accompaniment machine with three sections:

1. Analog drum machine section
2. Bass section with 2 sounds and variations
3. Chord section with 3 sounds

Harmonically controlled by a two-octave keyboard with a fill-in bar on top, it has a great warm sound that's unmistakably mid-1970s to our ears, the drum machine alone sounds great.

The Multivox MX-3000 is a pretty rare Japanese string machine and monophonic synth combo.
A bit similar to the Farfisa Soundmaker or maybe Solina String Synthesizer (the BIG one - not the regular String Ensemble) or the Crumar Composer but with a more complex polyphonic - or rather Divide Down - section.
Lots bells and whistles here.

It basically has three separate sections:

1. A bass synth section with multiple preset sounds and attack, decay and tone controls.

2. A polyphonic section with preset sounds that are modifiable in quite a few ways with a very nice and aggressive filter section, attack/decay, two different choruses, two glide modes and more.

3. Single Oscillator monophonic section. No presets but a few different wave forms, a very nice filter, portamento and the usual mono stuff for great leads, basses and even some space effects.

The Polyphonic filter and choruses are very cool on these, maybe that's what we got it for initially but it's turning in to our desert island machine, there's really a lot going on here, it's a versatile instrument with quite a unique and somewhat rustic sound.

They're famously hard to service due to lack of a good set of schematics.
The build-quality is strangely bad for late 1970s Japanese keyboards so they somehow always break down.

Multivox MX-3000

via this auction, also on Reverb

Note the larger keys in the bass section.

"MX3000 partially working but that needs servicing. Check the video here or on Youtube to see what's working, it covers pretty much everything.
But basically this is the state:
Channel 1 / Bass: everything is working properly
Channel 2 / Polyphonic:
All the preset sounds are working, as long as the "ensemble" fx and the "full rotor" fx. Filter, enveloppe and LFO mainly also. Velocity too.
What is not working correctly: all keys are working but a few notes (3 or 4) have a distorded sound. Lfo delay, glide and release are not working.
Channel 3 / Mono: oscillator is not sounding. From what I can tell VCF, VCA, LFO and noise generator are working.

In the mixer the Ch 2 direct is not working (but it's basically the Ch2 dry sound so it's probably nothing).
Overall condition is quite good: the panel is very clean. Case has some wear but still in good shape and complete with lid. Keyboard is not so great, lower part (bass part) keys are different from upper part, this is not original.

There may be some other minor things I forgot to mention but again check the video and you'll have a good idea of what you get."

"This one is going to need to a lot of tlc but it’s super rare... 'The Multivox MX-3000 is actually a combination of 3 synths in one case:
-A monophonic Bass-synth. This synth is capable of 3 kinds of bass-sounds: soft, medium & sharp, and only playable on the lowest 2 octaves. It has portamento with adjustable speed and you can choose out of 3 types of preprogrammed EGs:
-ADR
-ADSR
-Hold
Only the Release is adjustable.

-A polyphonic (String)Synth. This synth has a polyphony of 61 and contains 8 presets which you can alter with the onboard filters. Presets are: Soft Bass (with adjustable volume), Wood, Brass, Reed, String, Piano, Honky Tonk & Harpsichord. The last 3 presets are velocity sensitive which is adjustable. The polysynth contains an LFO for VCO as well for VCF.

The VCO contains a glide/bend function which can be switched off and LFO-modulation with delay is possible. The VCF contains CutOff, Resonance, EG-intensity and LFO Modulation. There are 2 preprogrammes EG-settings, ADR & ASR. You can also bypass these settings and use your own Attack and Decay/Release settings. Also present are a Ensemble-mode which thickens the sound and a Fullrotor which is actually a kind of Phaser. Speed and intensity are adjustable.

-A monophonic lead synth This synth is only playable on the upper 3 octaves. The VCO contains of sawtooth, square, pulse, triangle waves and noise. Portamento is possible and the waves can be transposed to 3 octaves (Low, Medium, High). LFO-modulation is also possible. The VCF contains an ADSR, CutOff, Resonance, EG-intensity (for the VCF-ADSR) and LFO Modulation. The VCA contains an ADSR, LFO-Modulation and a Selektor which can be switched from the normal ADSR to Repeat or Hold. The LFO is available in sawtooth, sinus and square.

Every section has it's own volume and output an can be switched on or off, so it's possible to use all 3 sections at once. All in all makes this synth a truly unique one, both in it's possibilities as in the sounds.

Comments About the Sounds:
Screaming monophonic leads are possible, but this synth produces also the coolest and heaviest bass-sounds and also has that famous JMJ-strings.Killer synth.'"

Guitar Sound Processor - Nuova Elettronica

video by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

Multivox MX-3000 at 1:09.

"A quick sound test of the very rare multi-effect unit from Italy.

Looks great, rather big with nice knobs.

These were sold as kits via mail order from the magazine Nuova Elettronica, a subscription magazine that offered build-it-yourself kits of all kinds of gear, hi-fi amplifiers and short wave radios, but also music gear such as drum machines, a couple of synths and effect pedals.

A great helper for organs or cheap string machines or poly-synths that need some flanging and muddy repeats.

The Chorus only affects the Delay repeats, not the dry signal."

PULSER M75 Analog Synthesizer 1977 | HD DEMO

Published on May 21, 2020 AnalogAudio1

M75 or MX-75?

"(c) 2020 by AnalogAudio1

I played the Pulser M75 partly with delay effects from a Korg SDD-3000 (right channel only). Be careful with headphones, it's raw analog power ;-)

The Pulser M75 was manufactured in Japan in 1977 by 'Pulser Corporation'. It's identical to the Multivox MX75. The keyboard has aftertouch ('touch sensor effect') which can control vibrato depth, volume, pitch, growl and such things. It's a monophonic synthesizer with 2 VCOs, 1 Lowpass Filter, 1 VCA, 1 LFO, Sample & Hold, Noise Generator and presets, which you can modify. It's not really free programmable, but you can do some nice things with it: great leads, basses and FX. It has a very pleasing vintage analogue tone. A cool and rare synth!"

"This synth nails the Jean Michel Jarre string sound with two types of chorus ensemble effect along with a full rotary speaker sound on the string section. Using a combo of VCO modulation using LFO with ensemble and a bit of rotary speaker you can make some very awesome sounding string pads. It is hard to say how many of these were made, but I have never seen one for sale before. [some have gone up here - there is one currently on MATRIXSYNTH CLASSIFIEDS]

Multivox MX-3000 Ultra Rare Vintage Analog Synth

"Selling my MX-3000 and it is in good working condition. Cosmetically looks great for its age. For full details contact me. Im selling local only in Los Angeles. Maybe you know someone here who can ship it for you. Because how rare and cool these are im selling for $2000. 70s analog blisss! See it being played here [video below]. from sound on sound magazine The MX3000 was Multivox's finest hour. With bass, poly, and lead sections, an ensemble effect, and a phaser, it falls into the same 'multi-keyboard' camp as the ARP Quadra, which I covered for Retrozone a few months ago (see SOS April and May 2002). The bass section offered three basic sounds, with three contour types, each with variable release. The lead synth consisted of a traditional VCO/VCF/VCA signal path plus an LFO and, despite its apparent limitations, it produced some interesting sounds. Nevertheless, the polyphonic section held the most promise. This offered eight editable voices, of which three (piano, harpsichord and honky-tonk) were velocity-sensitive. Given the similarities to the Quadra, it makes you wonder how much of the MX3000 was copied from ARP's ideas or designs. Keep an eye out for the MX3000. If you find one and don't want it, I'll buy it. Then I'll pop it open next to my Quadra and let you know."

"Demonstrating some of the sounds from a rare synth of the late 70's. I fixed up this old gem and have been very happy with the results. This is really three in one: a bass synth, a lead synth, and a divide down polysynth.
I start off by playing the full keyboard to show it all works (in case I regrettably have to sell)
No extra processing going on, just recorded audio from iMovie. I did pan the dry poly channel a little bit.."
