SynQuaNon Guitar Interface Eurorack Modules & More - SuperBooth 2022 Demo

video upload by SynQuaNon

"Here's a 2-minute collection of short demos using the SynQuaNon Eurorack analog polyphonic effects modules:

0:00 Hexaphonic AutoWah Filter with pedal control
0:29 Hexaphonic Funky AutoWah Filter with Hexaphonic Fuzz
1:01 Hexaphonic VCA Sequencer-controlled Arpeggios
1:34 Hexaphonic VCF Sequencer-controlled Arpeggios with Hexaphonic Fuzz
1:46 Hexaphonic VCF and VCA controlled in tandem by Sequencer

Did you notice that the SynQuaNon modules have virtually no patch cables connected and yet are in the audio chain? That's because they are interconnected at the back of the modules using SynQuaNon hexaphonic Audio and CV bus cables! This allows for a clutter-free front panel for easy user access and control adjustment - for more information, see the SynQuaNon Blog:

https://www.synquanon.com/post/why-ha..."

A list of their current modules via https://www.synquanon.com:

13-Pin Input Breakout

Roland/BOSS GK guitar interface for hexaphonic or polyphonic processing

Overview:
The 13-Pin Input Breakout module receives signals from a Roland GK-3 compatible guitar and converts them to modular levels using low-noise audio op-amps.

Gain options include 10x (20dB), 30x (30dB), or 100x (40dB).

Gain controls allow you to adjust the gain from zero to full-scale in the amplified string outputs.

Amplifier boards are easily replaceable with different gain versions. Check the shop for replacement boards.

The module provides power to the electronics in your GK-3 compatible guitar.

Hand-assembled in the USA.
Important Note:
This module has been tested successfully with Roland GK-3, GK-2A, Graph Tech Hexpander, and RMC Poly-Drive pickup systems.

Roland GK-2A pickups (including those on the Fender GC-1) require a special version of this module. Please indicate if you intend to use a Roland-ready or GC-1 Stratocaster with this module at the time of your order and we will supply the special version.

Features:
Outputs for each signal in the 13-pin GK-3 interface (audio/CV).
Access to direct signals from each string and the passive pickup.
Selectable gain range (1x or 10x, 30x, 100x) for each string and the passive pickup output on back of the module.
Adjustable gain or attenuation to zero within each selected gain range.
Metal film resistors for close channel gain matching.
Pairs well with 13-Pin Output Breakout , Hex VU Meter, Hex Fuzz, Hex VCF, Hex VCA, and Hex EF-Gate-Trigger.
Ideal for guitar multi-channel, single-string, or hexaphonic effects processing.

Novation Peak Videos by LuxDiaboli

Published on Dec 19, 2018 LuxDiaboli

Playlist:

1. Novation Peak new Wavetables
A look on the new wavetables on Novation Peak.
Zero effects (apart from minute 7.00)
One oscillator at 100% volume (at minute 7.00 I add a second OSC with sine wave at 70% volume).
Waveshaping on each wavetable and filter on some of them.
With the 1.2 update, they have made the Peak one of the best modern Polysynth, in my opinion. New LFOs, dedicate effect mod matrix with four slots and many other things, just WOW.
Enjoy!
(sorry for the crooked video)
2. Novation Peak Ambient Sequence
I made this chilling sequence to show how the modulation matrix of the Peak, with the right filter configuration, can change the sound we are making.
Yes, I’ve watched too many Knobs’ videos.
3. Strymon Volante with Novation Peak synthesizer
Some sequences made with Arturia Keystep and Novation Peak to show how beautiful is the Volante delay.
Enjoy :D

NOVATION Introduces PEAK UPDATE 1.2

You can find an overview video from supporting MATRIXSYNTH member, BoBeats further below.

First, the press release via Novation:

Introducing powerful new features & presets

Novation is proud and excited to announce the release of the Peak firmware 1.2 update. Firmware 1.2 adds a number of the most requested features from Peak users around the world, as well as all-new presets.

New wavetables
Massively increasing the range of Peak’s sonic palette, 43 new wavetables have been added to the Oscillator Wave menus.

Additional modulators
Peak 1.2 adds two freely assignable, non-voice-specific LFOs (bringing the total to four) to the Mod Matrix and new FX Matrix. Pitch-Bend is now also available as a modulation source, with Up (BendWhl+) and Down (BendWhl-) assignable as separate signals if required.

New Mod Matrix design
Workflow is greatly accelerated with Peak 1.2's updated Mod Matrix design, as sources and destinations are presented on the same page – no more toggling between them to make and edit assignments. And as a knock-on benefit, the Page button now enables quick access to all 16 modulation slots.

FX Mod Matrix
You demanded, Novation delivered! Peak 1.2 lets you route non-voice-specific modulation sources to Peak’s FX parameters in the new four-slot FX Mod Matrix. Now you can, for example, expand and contract a reverb with a rhythmic LFO, or automate delay time changes using an envelope.

New envelope features
Speaking of envelopes, Peak 1.2’s ADSRs sees the addition of a Hold stage (up to 500ms) and the ability to loop between the Attack and Decay stages. For many, this game-changing improvement alone will be reason enough to upgrade.

Initialise Manual Mode
Peak 1.2 gives you the option of maintaining the current positions of all knobs and sliders when the Initialise button is pressed, rather than resetting their parameters to defaults – ideal for getting instantly hands-on with new patches, and creating random ones from scratch. The previous behaviour can be reinstated in the Settings menu, of course, for those who prefer it.

Microtuning
Peak 1.2 also adds support for microtuning. 16 Tuning Tables can be edited and saved for recall within any patch, and automatic note selection makes MIDI note-to-pitch assignment a snap.

New presets
Available in Components, new Soundpacks from Patricia Wolf and GForce Software showcasing the new features of Firmware 1.2, as well as the sonic power and versatility of Peak in general.

Availability
Reaching new heights of sound design potential, Peak’s 1.2 firmware update will be available from the 19th December 2018 as a free download in the Components content manager."

FEATURES

Sequencer, performance control system and USB interface.
Ever since the K4815 Pattern Generator module was released to great praise in 2010 we have been planning a follow-up product that would take the Pattern Generator concept to a whole new level. After five years of planning and exploration we are proud to present: CARBON

CARBON offers several distinct and powerful functions that will change the way you compose and perform.

Sequencer
CARBON is primarily designed as a pattern-based sequencer. It has six tracks which can each hold 64 steps. Steps can be generated randomly, edited interactively, or recorded from a MIDI keyboard one step at a time, or in realtime while the sequencer is running. Polyphony and CC recording is supported so each step can contain chords or other performance data.

The fun begins once you've got some notes playing back on a track. Choose a region to play back, say, the first 8 steps. The track will play those same 8 steps over and over. Now move to another track and record a new sequence. This sequence can be a different length, or play back at a different speed. It can even play backwards while the other sequence plays forwards.

Remix with Patterns and Scenes!
The real power of CARBON is how variations of sequences can be made. By simply turning the PATTERN control, different steps in the sequence can be enabled and disabled. The patterns will surprise and inspire you by creating new rhythms and motifs with a simple twist of a knob. These are all based on your original sequence and can be changed at any time.

Adding in the concept of scenes lets you quickly switch between different parts of a song or different variations. Scenes can store the range of steps to play, the pattern, track mute state and a number of other parameters. Switching back and forth between scenes offers endless performance potential without ever missing a beat.

The best part of the CARBON sequencer is that all the recording and editing can be done in real-time without ever stopping the sequencer.

Update: The official press release:

"Tabletop 1.2 Adds Subtractive Synthesizer and SoundCloud Support

November 15, 2011 – San Francisco, CA

Today Retronyms released Tabletop 1.2 for iPad. The latest update to the modular production environment features the subtractive synthesizer RS4000 and posting to SoundCloud, the world's leading social sound platform.

Original Tabletop artist Salva, whose Yellobone EP is out today as he leaves for Red Bull Music Academy Madrid, says, "I'm super excited about all the new additions Retronyms is unveiling in Tabletop 1.2, most of all the RS4000 synthesizer. Being able to dig deeper into sound modeling with all the staple functionality of a traditional analog synth brings Tabletop one step closer to rivaling traditional desktop DAWs." The fully programmable subtractive synthesizer comes with over 50 presets and the ability to tailor all the following parameters and save the new sounds for future use:

Two oscillators with sine, sawtooth, square and triangle waveforms
Phase, phase modulation, balance and drive controls for oscillator interactions
Octave, semitone and tune controls for Oscillator A
Low pass, high pass, band pass, notch and peak filters with frequency, Q, mod envelope and ADSR controls

Electronic musician +verb, who contributed new samples to the Gridlok touchpad sampler, RS3 keyboard and M8RX tone matrix in Tabletop 1.2, adds, "RS4000 is an absolutely great addition to the Tabletop environment. The modulation possibilities within it are great, nice sounds come from it, and playing the synth is extremely intuitive."

After synthesizing the perfect sounds with RS4000 and recording, Tabletop 1.2 now allows users to post studio quality 44.1kHz, 16bit audio to their SoundCloud account. "Tabletop is pushing the envelope for music creation on the iPad with its groundbreaking interface, and SoundCloud is excited that the new version lets users share their sounds on our platform, along with Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr," said Henrik Lenberg, Vice President of Platform at SoundCloud.
