Richard Nicol from Pittsburgh Modular demonstrates the Cascading Delay Network module at the 2020 NAMM Show.

A study in complexity through simplicity. The Cascading Delay Network combines four 600ms voltage controllable delays with a labyrinth of internal analog signal routing to create a tangle of unique time based effects. Five distinct Cascade Modes internally reconfigure the delay lines and feedback paths with the press of a button.

NAMM 2020: Pittsburg Modular Cascading Delay Network Sounds & Interview

Published on Jan 18, 2020 Perfect Circuit

"The Pittsburgh Modular Cascading Delay Network is four delays in one, with multiple pre-set routing options to create a wide variety of effects.

Pittsburgh Modular's Richard Nicol took some time at NAMM 2020 to explain the concept and inner workings of the Cascading Delay Network. The Cascading Delay Network is a collection of four PT2399-based delays with complex internal analog switching that allows for selection of several pre-set signal routings. By re-arranging the way signals pass through these delays, the Cascading Delay Network can create everything from complex multi-tap delays to reverb-like effects, stereo repeating swirls, and much more.

NAMM 2020: Pittsburgh Modular Cascading Delay Network

Published on Jan 15, 2020 sonicstate

"Its day one at NAMM, Pittsburgh Modular were just set up at their booth and we caught up with Richard Nichol to take a look at their new modules. First of all we took a quick look at the Lifeforms SV-1b and then a deeper look at the Cascading Delay Network.

The Cascading Delay Network is basically four individual delay lines that can interact in lots of different ways. They can be used individually or routed in and out of one another to create smudgy delay textures that can almost resemble reverb, with some modulation you can also create flanging, chorusing and more."
