"New video, and just in time for what's admittedly my 30th birthday. This synthesizer demo covers a rarity I recently got my hands on: an E-mu Proteus 1XR expanded with the Protologic board by InVision Interactive, giving it 128 additional presets (a grand total of 512!) and additional samples that help get it close to the later General MIDI standard.

This video covers every preset from the second bank of 64 presets."

"New video for the new year. This synthesizer demo covers a rarity I recently got my hands on: an E-mu Proteus 1XR expanded with the Protologic board by InVision Interactive, giving it 128 additional presets (a grand total of 512!) and additional samples that help get it close to the later General MIDI standard.

This video covers every preset from the first bank of 64 presets. If enough interest is given, I will cover the other half in a later video."

"Finally decided to make another set of synthesizer demos. This one entails a recently acquired E-mu Proteus MPS Plus keyboard, best known as the synthesizer used in the music for Myst. To challenge myself, and to help inform others about the sound, I tried to perform as many of the unique presets as I could.

This last video of three covers the last unique ROM bank of presets, exclusive to the MPS Plus and based on the Proteus 2 instruments. With this, all of the unique presets should now be represented: the ROM 4 bank is a duplication of the RAM bank in the MPS Plus.

"Finally decided to make another set of synthesizer demos. This one entails a recently acquired E-mu Proteus MPS Plus keyboard, best known as the synthesizer used in the music for Myst. To challenge myself, and to help inform others about the sound, I tried to perform as many of the unique presets as I could.

This second video of three covers the one RAM bank of presets, also based very loosely on the Proteus 1 soundset. For anyone worried about losing these sounds via reinitialization, it turns out that the MPS Plus has this bank copied verbatim into ROM bank 4, similar to the Proteus XR modules."

"Recently acquired a rare Emu Proteus/3 XR, which, while dedicated to ethnic sounds, I love enough to have included in my upcoming EP. This video showcases 21 of the first 128 patches out of 384, some of which are XR-exclusive. Threw in some popular melodies as well, among which a melody gamers might recognize from Age of Empires II, which made heavy use of the Emu ESI4000."

"A revamp of my most successful YouTube video. This video consists entirely of sounds from the Series III factory library which I ported some of over to Kontakt (no additional sounds from Prosonus, in other words), complete with sound names.

Terminator 2 soundtrack fans may recognize some of these sounds, though some samples were also recycled by other synth brands, most notably Korg."
