"Classic analog modelling groovebox from the rave era.
It has a new screen and recent OS chip.
It is overall in very good shape with 2 issues to be aware of
1. There is a little dust under the display but it is not noticeable when the unit is on and the screen is shining.
2. The main value selection wheel can be finicky - it sometimes skips a value and sometimes doesn't register a rotation.
Otherwise this functions perfectly. All other knobs and buttons function as they should and all inputs/outputs are in great shape."

Each voice has selectable sounds and the ability to save 128 variations of each voice to quickly scroll through with the ‘sound’ knob.
Has 2 fx channels for reverb/delay and flanger/chorus.
Has both the audio in/out expansion and the drum sample expansion. Doesn’t have the synth expansion.
Sounds great and is fun and immediate despite its quirks and menu-diving.
In great condition with 240V power supply and all knobs/encoders/switches working.
Has the 'Prodigy - Voodoo People' Pattern"

Synth Expansion adds 37 new oscillator waveforms (offering up to four oscillators each), two new filter algorithms (12dB low‑pass and 12dB high‑pass), plus sequence‑syncable LFOs. Additionally, since the audio expansion is also installed, the machine features two extra bass/lead synths. These synths can be played on their own MIDI channels, from an external keyboard or sequencer, or set up to double the main bass/lead synth.
Drum Expansion adds an impressive array of extra waveforms and samples: 14 Kicks, 11 Snares, 8 Hi‑hats and 127 Percussions. There are also now 20 instead of 10 percussion kits. This expansion also doubles the number of percussion kits (20 instead of 10) and memory locations (128 instead of 64) and adds also 38 new preset Patterns.
Audio Expansion adds a pair of audio inputs and an extra pair of assignable outputs. Outputs 3 and 4 can be used to send any 309 sounds (or the treated audio ins) to a mixer for external processing and you can also trigger the inputs from any of the drum machine/sequencer sections, for instant gated effects."

"A special version of the Rave-O-Lution 309 with a black finish, special patterns, and two sound expansion boards (Drum X & Synth X)
A lot of the internal patterns sound like direct excerpts from Klaus Schulze's techno albums.
The 309 is pretty much a Roland TR808/909 drum machine with a TB303 built in. It has a sequencer, dozens of drum, percussion and synth sounds to choose from, four audio outputs, two audio input, built-in effects and MIDI.
The bass drum, snare and hi-hat sounds can be chosen from a whole bank of samples and have pitch and decay knobs to help find that perfect tone.
There's a 12-note polyphonic bank of percussion sounds which include a lot of synth and string hits.
The mono lead/bass synth has a variable lowpass filter with resonance so you can tweak to your hearts content.
Effects wise, there's the "Overblast" overdrive knob as well as delay, flanger, reverb and more!"
