"Well, maybe not 'shenanigans' but at least we show off the simple, yet effective sequencer of the AS-1. It should really be viewed more as a sketch pad similar to sequencers that used to be built into some older synths such as the SH-101, but as it offers real-time transposing of sequences and is so easy to program, it's a useful addition nevertheless."

"More examples of tweaking the factory sounds and using the arpeggiator. I think it sounds beautiful and is fairly straightforward to program from the front panel. Knobs are solid and the display provides enough information to be useful.

It's odd that the sequencer loses sync in certain circumstances (changing sound, delay sync etc.) and can't resync again, and I do miss parameter sequencing ("motion sequencing") but it is designed to be driven from an external sequencer, so that should not be a dealbreaker."

"Have a cup of coffee with us as we explore some of the sounds of the Toraiz AS-1. It has so many sweet spots, and it's inspiring to start with a factory sound and tweak it to perfection while the sequencer or arpeggiator is running.

The weird white thingy that occasionally feeds it MIDI grooves is a FutureRetro Zillion, and yes, that will get a video of it's own in due time.
