Tibetan Glitching Bowl (singing bowl & modular synth)

video by poorness studios

"To close out Weird Week, I decided to pair my Tibetan singing bowl with my Eurorack modular synthesizer. Surprisingly... I think it works. The Make Noise Phonogene is the heart of this patch. Weird Week was a fun little project over the last 5 days. Thanks for tuning in."

A Droid's Mating Call (Jarmaggeddon, Mopho, & Kaossilator)

video by poorness studios

"Weird Week has been really fun so far. Today, I decided to make a funky little groove with my Moffezeef Jarmaggeddon (glitch generator), Dave Smith Mopho synthesizer, and KORG KO-1 Kaossilator. When I listened to it, I thought it sounded like R2D2's mating call so thus the name."

Fish or Fig Bread (modular synth, tape loop, & soft synth)

video by poorness studios

"Continuing with the Weird Week series, here's a little electronic composition using my Eurorack modular synthesizer, a tape loop (playing on my Sony TCM-200DV), and Alchemy soft synth (controlled by the MAudio Oxygen25). It might be an odd combination but it ended up sounding pretty cool."

Alien Jazz (Volca Beats, Volca Bass, & Alien Screamer)

video by poorness studios

"For the next Weird Week video, I decided to use my KORG Volca Beats, KORG Volca Bass, and the super cool Alien Screamer from MFOS. I'm using the modulation oscillator to control the pitch of the Alien Screamer and then constantly changing the waveshaper settings.

You can see the Alien Screamer build video here:" [posted here]

She's Back (tape loop, Acid Bee, Kaossilator, & kalimba)

video by poorness studios

"To kick off Weird Week, I attempted to use my new Acid Bee with some other instruments. I'm not really sure what I was going for but I kinda like the end result. I used a tape loop (played on my Sony TCM-200DV), the KORG KO-1 Kaossilator, and Aklot's acrylic kalimba along with the Acid Bee from Error Instruments."
