There's some outboard effects also, like EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress, Stereo Clone Theory, Small Clone and Roland SDE-2000 (the only digital unit here, but hey, it's vintage too).

People have been asking for new videos, which warms my soul. I know I haven’t been too active here nor in my studio lately. But I decided to publish this older piece because I had a couple of video clips from the recording sessions.
Sadly I don't have any of these instruments anymore...

Yamaha CS-15D 37-Key Monophonic Analog Dual Channel Synthesizer SN 3527

The Yamaha CS15D is part of the partially preset, partially variable monophonic analogue synth which was released by Yamaha in 1979. It has a very solid warm sound for a single VCO synth. The preset section is divided into two channels. Channel 1 has 15 sounds with the usual array of unrealistic instrument imitations and Channel 2 has 14 synth sounds plus a button to activate the 'manual' section of the synth. There is a slider to mix between the two channels and channel 2 can be detuned. The 'manual' section comprises 1 VCO with a variable control between pulse and saw waves. There are also controls for pulse width modulation, noise and footings (32' - 2'). The 12dB filter has cut-off and resonance plus a dedicated ADSR envelope with a control for envelope amount.

"A true classic analog synth from Yamaha. The CS15D is an incredibly warm mono synth with preset and manual voices. For being over 40 years old, it’s in great shape. It is missing two slider plastics, and there’s some hum out of the headphone port (not the line out) but is in great shape."

"I've had this since the late 90's was in full working order then, it previously been stored in a cupboard for 10 years, one channel stopped working a few years ago and the other channel more recently, not sure why, it's not been dropped or physically damaged. It powers up, modulation LED is flashing but no sound. There is a very faint sound if I turn up the gain to maximum on my mixer so it's doing something. Very nice warm sound when fully working, the two channels can be played independently with a midi-cv converter. "

There is also slight minor damage to the surface of body and wood section of the synthesizer.

"This Yamaha CS15D is in excellent working condition.
All sliders, knobs and keys are working well, no noticeable scratchy or dirty pots.
I believe this is the original power cable as well, just with a modified plug at the end because the original would have been Japanese.
There is some slight chipping in some of the wood paneling (All pictured).
All Presets sound and work great as well as the synth section.
It is a very simple but very fun synth to dive into.
Great for warm gritty bass sounds, especially when mixing in the tuba section."
