Atlantis and Shapeshifter in the Clouds

Published on Oct 2, 2015 biologik

"Here's a mono recording of a beautiful little line that I generated. Unfortunately you lose the amazing stereo depth but I'm sure I'll release this as a song in the future.

Intellijel Atlantis and shapeshifter being fed into Mutable Clouds which is running the parasites firmware. Sequences by a metropolis and shifted by a Pittsburgh sequencer."

"Fully working but needs tuning and some ELKOS of keys have to be replaced.
Both described here by a guy from ableton: [here] (search for "atol" 's posts, there is the exact link how to do those things. it is really not difficult if you good at soldering, the ELKOS cost 30cent each, so the whole changing of elkos will be about 10 or 15 EUR i guess. Really no big deal! "atol" extra mentions in that thread that those 2 issues are normal and common with this SYNTORCHESTRA)

There are some scratches on top, the fuse got bridged, it works but could be replaced. One of the mono sound switches has a 1mm chip, you don't even see it on the photos)

The last tuned one with ELKOS replaced got sold for about 1300 EUR on ebay!

"Vintage JEN SX1000 Vintage Analog Monophonic Synthesizer (1978)

Great Analog Synth, originally Italian built, internal transformer modified to work both 120V & 240V without need for switch or external step down transformer.

Fully functional, all keys, knobs, jacks, in full 100% order. A very capable synth on its own with a myriad of filter & midi mods available online (not included.) Very slight surface rust on rear panel which has not changed or degraded in the 22 years I've owned this synth. Power throw switch illuminates bright red when synth is on.

Wood cheeks show minimal wear, really not bad for a 35 year old instrument. A number of colored knob decals have fallen off over the years, very easy and inexpensive to replace with DIY adhesive foil or decals (instructions online, not included) none of which effects functionality.

Auction includes:

– JEN SX1000 Analog Mono Synth
– Power cable
– 2 prong to 2 pole power adapter"

"Mitch Gallagher gives an overview of Roland's Boutique Series synthesizers: the JP-08, JU-06, and JX-03, along with the optional K-25m keyboard controller and module dock. These synth modules bring back classic Roland synth designs for a new generation of musicians, using their Analog Circuit Behavior modeling to re-create their original analog character.

All of these synth modules give you the sound and feel of working with the original synths, plus some new enhancements. The JP-08 is based on the Jupiter-8 synthesizer, and expands on the original with extra waveforms and an extended VCO range. The JU-06, based on the Juno-106, adds a variable highpass filter and a faster LFO. And the JX-03, modeled after the JX-3P, adds extra waveforms for the LFO and DCOs, as well as an extended DCO range.

These synth modules offer tons of hands-on control, built-in sequencers, and true portability thanks to battery operation and a built-in mini speaker."
