"The synth is fully functional, and besides a missing jack nut and some tape residue on the top of the unit it's in great cosmetic shape too."

Moog Memorymoog 6 Voice Polyphonic Vintage Synthesizer SN 2444

"This 6 voice polyphonic monster was rescued from storage, unplayed for likely decades, and whipped into incredible shape by the service department at Midwest Music Menders in Brookfiled, IL. This is serial number 2444, fully stock from the factory, with no onboard MIDI modifications. The wooden cabinet and aluminum show only minor wear and a few scattered dings, and the panels is fully clean and clear. All pots and buttons are working marvelously.

The sound, though. This synth is huge: 18 CEM3340 oscillator chips, 3 per voice, form the core of this instrument. The Memorymoog is full of Curtis chips, with the exception, of course, of 6 classic 24db/oct Moog low pass filters. The Autotune sequence is fully functioning, displaying “6 TUNED” after about 30 seconds. The ROM version on this instrument is likely 2.2, as the display shows “83” in front panel test mode, and this version is not fitted with the MIDI upgrade.

This Memorymoog was thoroughly serviced, including cleaning of all panel knobs and switches. Two pots were replaced: the master Tune knob and the Frequency knob for Oscillator 3. Two ICs on the Demux board were replaced. All capacitors on the panel boards were replaced. The instrument was then calibrated and tuned after an adequate burn in period. This synth likely plays and sounds as great as it did new, if not better!"
