Devil Fish & TR-606 Dynamic Bank Switching 69er

Published on Dec 28, 2015 TB-303 Devil Fish

"Devil Fish and Roland TR-606 sending and receiving CV with each other in a 69er type fashion, via slew and attenuator Eurorack modules to switch between 4 Banks each. This creates rhythmic and melodic changes automatically leaving my hands free to tweak and work with other things. I also use the red Bank and red Accent buttons on the Devil Fish and 606 which sometimes changes both machines Bank state at the same time depending on what triggers are being sent from the patterns (great for freaked out fills).
The 606 sends a CV trigger from the High Tom to a slew unit, an attenuator then to the Devil Fishes DBS CVin 1, it also sends audio from the Headphone Out to a 12 stage frequency divider, an attenuator then to the Devil Fishes DBS CVin 2 this has the most effect when the Cymbals volume are turned up.
The Devil Fish is sending CV Out to an attenuator then to the 606's DBS CVin 1, it also sends Accent Out directly to the 606's CVin 2.
The Eurorack modules are clocked by the 606's audio via the 12 stage frequency divider and from the Devil Fishes Gate Out, the two sound source modules are the Make Noise Phonogene(ACID sample) and Epoch Modular Benjolin both being controlled and triggered by the Make Noise Rene and Intellijel Metropolis, the Metropolis is also modulating the Cutoff frequency of the Intellijel uVCF which the Benjolin and Phonogene are being filtered by, and the Metropolis is also modulating the Cutoff Frequency of the Devil Fish.
Various effect pedals are used and all audio is routed through the Roland TR-8 with Scatter effects used (the TR-8 allows the audio to be recorded into Abelton Live via USB). All played live with no computer or MIDI sequencing."

Jupiter and TR-808 Clones - A Memory (tiergrinders adaptation)

Published on Dec 28, 2015 tiergrinder

"This is my adaptation from Mulperi's song called A Memory. I came across with this song at D16 VST synth makers website.

Main synth : Jupiter Clone
Bass and Arpeggio : SH-101
Drums : TR-808 Clone
Noise swoosh : SH01 Gaia

Sorry for the poor playing. Like I've commented before, I'm a synth builder and l love the classic synths and their sounds. So this is a sound demo, not a keyboard playing showcase :D"

This are my favourite releases in 2015. I consider in majority only releases from 2015 and two updates from apps released in 2014.

If you missing Nave and other synths, please consider that the choice is only for Synths released in 2015. This choice is only my favourites and maybe you have another selection.

Walking on the Clouds ;)

Published on Dec 28, 2015 Alba Ecstasy

"This video is about Clouds. This famous (sorry about the first typo - geeez) texture synthesiser.
You don’t even need a serious audio input to feed it, because it’s capable of amazing this by itself. Still:

I used the self oscillation of Ripples to generate the sound, where Cutoff is modulated by Z3000 as LFO with square and Resonance with sawtooth.

The sine of Z3000 is also feeding the FM of Ripples.

I used BP2 and LP4 to feed (through the DVCA) Clouds’ inputs.

Doepfer’s gate, through MFB ADSR is controlling Freeze and Position.
Doepfer’s CV out is controlling the Clouds’ Pitch.

LFO Z3000’s sine to Clouds’ Texture and triangle to Density.
Recorded in Logic Pro."

"with its single guitar cable (1/4") out and battery (9v) power-its easy to use anywhere, anytime
ita also easy to add effects to via guitar pedals, vocal pedals or vst etc
a cross between 808 and 909 generally, listen to the audio for an idea of how each sounds.
however, every one is made by hand w analog circuitry--so the sound will vary between each.
