1980s style - live mode

Published on Jun 5, 2016 SynthMania

"A ditty in late '80s House style. Roland TR-707 and Roland Juno-60, multitracked, Alesis MidiVerb II patch 16 reverb, and a few additional effects (compressors, eq, delay) in the DAW - all but the drums and bass played live. That's it.

P.S. Looking forward to the first dufus who writes 'har, har, sounds like Yazoo's 'Situation', har har'. It does not want to sound, nor it was inspired by that great, classic song that we all love. This was not inspired by Situation, but by late '80s House."

Vintage/Historical Kurzweil K- 250 Keyboard/Synthesizer w/ POD SN 84100232

via this auction

"Vintage Kurzweil #K-250 (88-Key) Synthesizer Keyboard w/ POD (Pedal Controls and Power Supply). Instrument is in very good condition and everything works as it should. It has been used exclusively for Feature Film Music Scores. It has seen significant deployment through the years having been used on such features as: 'Star Trek III'('84), Cocoon ('85), 'Aliens' ('86), 'An American Tale' ('86), 'Willow' ('88) and "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" ('89) and more. This Particular Instrument has a rich History and would be a significant and desirable addition to any Music or Film Aficionado's Collection. This instrument has been well maintained and properly stored. It comes with 2--Anvil ATA Travel Cases which will require an internal overhaul with 'new foam'. The original foam protection has (Bio) degraded and needs replacement. There are some 'superficial' scratches but nothing serious. The control panel is missing 4 or 5 Control Knobs, however, the capacity for control is not affected. There are other K-250s out there, but we feel this is a 'One of a Kind' because of its rich and extensive history!"

Moog Minimoog Model D (2016 Reissue) Audio Sneak Preview

Published on Jun 5, 2016 Synthtopia

"At Moogfest 2016, Moog reintroduced the Minimoog Model D analog synthesizer.

We'e previously shared an overview of the Model D from Mioogfest, and a look inside the new synth.

This video features the sound of the new Model D - monophonic audio, direct from the synth, panned center. This is primarily a preview of the new synth's sound, so what dialog there is has been mixed so that it's very quiet."

"Two examples of how to use the mod wheel to 1) control the amount of vibrato and 2) change the filter cutoff. Easy enough to do, though not as obvious as one might think."
