New Analogue Solutions Polygene Poly MIDI Converter Eurorack Module Teaser

Published on Nov 15, 2016 rezfilter

"Polygene is a eurorack polyphonic MIDI to CV converter – 4 voice output that can be used to play your CV synths / modules as a 4 voice polysynth.

Why Do I need this MODULE? What’s So Special?

Simple to use, it’s the perfect way to have MIDI control over 4 CV synths, to play together as one poly synth.

Connect to 4 mono synths, e.g. Analogue Solutions Nyborg
Or, connect to Eurorack modules set up as 4 synth voices.

The Arpeggiator has no nonsense operation harking back to the days of early Roland synths such as the Jupiter 8 and SH101.

The Arpeggiator can also be used as a simple 16 note step sequencer. The arpeggiator also plays back the velocity amount that was used.

The Arpeggiator will control CV synths, but the note info is also sent to the MIDI Out socket as MIDI notes, so you can have it play a MIDI synth."

"Beautiful looking and sounding vintage ARP Odyssey Mk II 2813 in mint condition. Check the close up pics and see how great looking this synth is. An Odyssey in this condition is hard to find.

It's been thoroughly serviced and restored by a professional tech who has worked on numerous vintage synths. His work included replacement of all rear panel jacks, all electrolytic capacitors, various failing components, a few trim pots, and rebuilding of two sliders. He added a free-running LFO switch on the back panel and performed a recalibration of the synth. Immediately prior to the servicing, I replaced all key bushings and thoroughly cleaned and relubed the sliders. This service was performed around 4 years ago.

This synth sounds fantastic and all functions work exactly as they should. It's like stepping back in time. This synth doesn't feel like it's 40 years old. It seems more like a year or two old.

In spite of all the love and attention this synth has received, there are a couple of sliders that are scratchy on occasion. The scratchiness is only by feel. It doesn't affect the audio."

"In great cosmetic condition. Only a few scuffs/nicks in the wood, mainly in front on each side from keyboard stand. rubbing it (see pics). One small blemish on the front panel on the word "Output". Other than that, this is in really amazing good shape! Key bushings were replaced a couple years ago, so it has great feel. Every key, knob, wheel, light, etc is in working order. It stays in pretty good tune, but needs to be calibrated. No MIDI

Erica Synths - PICO DSP *first patch*

Published on Nov 15, 2016 DivKidVideo

"Here's my first play around with the PICO DSP joined by the PICO DRUMS and RND modules too. There's also a kick from the Hexinverter Mutant BD9, Snare like thumb from an "FM'd" Mutable Instruments Rings and a short 16th note like clave sound from a resonant "FM'd" Mutable Instruments Ripples into Streams. This is all mixed into the WMD Performance Mixer."

Rossum Evolution Filter vs Moog Sub Phatty - A comparison by WMD

Published on Nov 15, 2016 William Mathewson

"In this video, Alex conducts a comparison of the two ladder filters, which when filtering a single saw wave sounds almost identical until it comes to the Q compensation and "species" knobs that are unique to the Evolution.

Alex is a huge fan of the classic Moog sound and was looking to integrate a similar voice into his live performance rig which includes a WMD/SSF Monolith Case. He brought in his Sub Phatty for a fun, semi-clinical comparison and decided to make quick a video so he could share the results with you.

Love Moog bass but want even more phatness with some resonant filtering? This might be the one for you :)

Both synths are recorded directly into the Tascam DR40's external inputs."
