Hatsune Miku, Gakken Pocket Miku

Published on Nov 25, 2016 ISOTROPOSPHERE

"CGI / Virtual character, idol sensation Hatsune Miku (developed by Crypton Future Media) coupled with Yamaha's NSX-1 sound chip technology (eVocaloid) were paired together in Gakken Education Publishing Company's Pocket Miku product.

About the same size as a Stylophone and similair useage with a wired stylus for the keyboard section. The Pocket Miku is a formant synthesizer used for vocal creations. Cool options and capabilities for the cost of the unit.

This is my first use in a light jam video with minimal use before this video in experimenting and getting used to the functions of the device.

In the video i have locked a 2 second loop in the Clouds module from Mutable instruments and this is being modulated by an lfo for the position cv and is in trigger mode being fed from the End of Cycle clock on a Make Noise Phonogene module. The Phonogene is also providing a drum sound to the 4MS Noise swash module which is the grungy sound heard here. Phonogene timing and speed is being messed with by a cv coming from a Flame knob recorder V1.

Live Pocket Miku track is being run through a developmental delay module from Synthrotek and is the only effect on the Miku in the video.

Please comment if you enjoyed this and want to see more of her.

Enjoy......."

DIY-Analog Synthesizer with DIY-Analog Sequencer #2

Published on Nov 27, 2016 Andreas Remshagen

"Weitere Experimente mit meinem Selbstgebauten Synthesizer und Sequenzer. Der Sequenzer besteht aus einem NE555 als Timerbaustein, welcher zwei 4017 als Zählwerk ansteuert. Er hat jeweils 3 CV-Ausgänge, welche 2 VCO, 2 VCF und jeweils einen ADSR ansteuern. Hab leider keine Kamera, daher habe ich das Video mit dem Handy aufgenommen"

Googlish:

"Another experiment with my self-made synthesizer and sequencer, the sequencer consists of a NE555 as a timer module, which drives two 4017 as a counter, has 3 CV outputs, which control 2 VCO, 2 VCF and one ADSR each , So I took the video with the mobile phone"

RUCCI Handmade Electronic Instruments 8-Bit Power Synthesizer with CV Sequencer

Published on Nov 25, 2016 Michael Rucci

Super Mario Bros Theme on 8-Bit Power Synthesizers

Details via Handmade Electronic Instruments

"The 8-Bit Power Synthesizer produces lo-fi sounds reminiscent of retro video games. It has a single octave keyboard with an octave control knob to sweep through a full six octaves. It is monophonic and only the highest key pressed will sound.

Seven different modes allow for lots of variety and are selectable with a mode control knob. A drone switch plays the last pitch played indefinitely, hands free. There is also a speed control to manipulate patches as well as a low-pass filter and volume control.

Modes
1. Simple Square-wave
2. Oscillating between two octaves
3. Ramping up and down by octave
4. Minor Pentatonic Arpeggios (Key selects the root)
5. Vibrato
6. Random Octave (Octave control sets maximum range.)
7. Drum Loop Mode (26 loops selectable with each key and drone switch. Octave control acts as pitch control in this mode.)

A CV input (0-5V, 1/8” jack) overrides the octave control. Clock Out (5V, 1/8” jack) provides pulses in time with suitable modes to sync with other devices. CV IN is located next to Power IN and Clock OUT is next to Audio OUT. Audio output (1/4” mono jack) is ideal for amps, effects or recording equipment. Powered by included 9V battery or 9V DC (Center-Negative) power supply.

It is built into a rugged die-cast aluminum case with an NES inspired light-gray paint job. This was designed and hand-built in Oakland, California.

Shipping to the US is a flat $10, everywhere else is $22 for the first item and $8 for each additional item.

Ships next day."
