"We’re very excited to share with you that we reached Stretch goal #2. Thanks so much to all our backers!

Besides MIDI MPE support, the SSP will now come with 5 extra modules:

1) sampler module with time stretching

2) granular processor

3) simple delay

4) bit crusher

5) physical modeling membrane

And we’re now on our way to Stretch goal #3: another 5 extra modules (2 advanced modules and 3 simple modules) will be added to the SSP when we reach the next goal at $55,000.

We're super psyched to be restarting our basic synth classes this fall! This series is called Getting Into Modular, and is a set of recurring casual presentations that answers the questions we hear in the shop often "How do I get into modular synthesis?" or "Where do I even start!?!?". Each session is an hour in length with ample time for questions, meant to de-mystify the modular synthesizer module by module using the eurorack systems we have set up in our shop.

This is a great way to learn the basics of patching a modular synth, and to see if you're into the workflow and flexibility that an open-architecture synthesizer provides.
This first session is all about Sound Sources, and here’s an outline of the topics we’ll be discussing:

Generating Sound
Oscillators - Shape designer
Noise - Every frequency
Filters - Feedback loops

"This video shows all 8 algorithms of the Erica Synths Pico Voice eurorack module.

The Pico Voice, from Erica Synths, is a highly versatile Eurorack modular sound source that is able to emulate a handful of extremely useful synthesis models. It contains 8 synthesis algorithms: Karplus Strong, Chord generator, Wavetable synthesis, TB303 emulation, Pulse width mod, Supersaws, Wavefolded osc and Harmonic saturation. There are two parameter controls per algorithm, with a CV input to control one of those two parameters. Despite the small size, the Pico Voice sounds giant!
