"Roland JX-305 Funky Dance Club Beats 2018
Synthesizer Demo by Rik Marston
**Watch in HD** **Turn it UP!!!**

The Roland JX-305 Groovesynth in action plus a ton of
beautiful people dancing, tripping out & losing their minds... ;)
3 more funky preset patterns that might even make you get
up and dance about! Heck, I'm doing it right now!! LOLOL!!!
These 3 funky patterns are:
PC66 Miami Bass 2 @ 00:07
PD37 Latin House 4 @ 03:48
PE21 JXGrooveTRAX 1 @ 08:02
The Roland JX-305 is super FUN, RARE (in good working order)
and just cool to have in general! An MC-505 in a synthesizer!
-Plus a bit more internal wave memory, 61 keys, etc...
Still in my top favorite synthesizers of all time list.
I wish there was a Roland JDX-305 one day!!

Thank you for watching!!!!"

"This OB-X is not functional. The tag says 4 voice, but it was at one point upgraded to six (see pics). The power supply does work, and when disconnected from the rest of the keyboard all of the voltage rails are present and regulating. Replacing the tantalum caps that sit on the voltage rails on 4 of the voice cards (and the supply) permitted those voice cards to power up, but it's obvious that something(s) on the main board are pulling the supply down. The main board has many RCA CMOS chips installed, which are notorious for failing, but cheap to replace. There are numerous failure prone tantalum caps on the main board as well. Many of the "tropical fish" style caps are cracked and would also need to be replaced. The keys could use new bushings to eliminate the clack when you release a key. This list of issues is merely what I've found for an hour or two of diagnosis, there are likely more issues beyond what is listed here."

New Doepfer Dark Energy III Coming to NAMM?

Update: details are in

To the left is what appears to be a new Doepfer Dark Energy III. Below are two images of the Dark Energy II (announced in December of 2012) for comparison. The only discernible difference I'm seeing on the front panel is in the bottom row of jacks.  On the Dark Energy II you can see three outputs, one for LFO1, one for Envelope, and one for Audio. On the new Dark Energy III a Reset LFO1 input, a Reset LFO2 input, and the Audio out. On the Dark Energy II there are four CV outputs and one Gate output on the back. The Dark Energy II panel matches the original.

Update via unknown in the comments: "The Dark Energy III has a different Waveform (Shape)..."

You can see the III has a triangle waveform on the bottom of the toggle switch, while the original has a ramp type wave. If anyone spots anything else feel free to leave a comment.  The Ext. Audio label changed to External Audio of course.

Patterns - experiment 4 in video synthesis

Published on Jan 18, 2018 retrosynthads

"Trying out some new techniques with video synthesis. RGB overlays and their interactions. Plus another attempted at syncing up the video to the audio I created.

As usual, Roland TB-303s, TR-808 and TR-909 recorded into Reason, and then messed about with until something resembling a song comes out."
