Published on Mar 14, 2018 Element S_

"Spectral Analysis-Resynthesis and Granular synthesis are two of the most powerful music electroacoustic tools available.

In this video, the sounds from a Harrier jump Jet engine are turned into musical elements for my electronic composition 'Flight Sequence V' thanks to Michael Klingbeil's 'Spear' editor and Apesoft'

015//Hell Trembles - a horrific Moog mother 32 self-generating patch

Published on Mar 14, 2018 Alastair Wilson

"A semi-self-generating modular patch using a single Mother 32 sent through an Eventide Space black hole reverb and an Eventide Timefactor on banddelay setting. Some compression has been applied to tame the resonant frequencies.

The patch is semi-random; I created a sequence, but everything else is randomly generated using the Assign output of the Mother 32. This patch is actually based on tuned notes; the bell-like, inharmonic frequencies come from the Eventide Timefactor, where both delays are very short (under 20ms), and have a feedback of 101%. To prevent the feedback becoming uncontrollable, each delay is bandpass filtered (with high resonance) and a slow LFO is affecting the cutoff frequency of each filter. The effect is that the feedback keeps the delay from dying quickly, but cannot build forever as the frequencies that are feeding back are slowly changed through the filtering. Great for sounds like these!

A Heavy Rain Is Forecast...

Here was the result of my first two hours using the Deluge synthesizer, I'm posting it like several others have.

Also, this is one take to perform it. I'm learning this, and like it a lot so far!"

New Behringer Pro-One Desktop Clone Pics

Two new pics. Looks like they are going with the Behringer Model D case, which implies these will likely be eurorack compatible. You can see some patch point up top. See this post for an earlier pic of the circuit board.
