Ableton Live Wavetable synth tutorial

Published on Nov 9, 2018 once upon a synth

"Tutorial of Ableton's Wavetable synth plugin. I go over all the different buttons and settings and explain what they do. This is a wavetable synthesizer that ships with Ableton Suite. It has a large set of wavetables and an elaborate modulation matrix for creating really complex evolving sounds. You get two oscillators, two filters, 3 ADSR envelope generators and 2 LFOs. There's also some cool morphing and folding effects you can apply to the oscillators to further change them. The interface is also pretty cool because you can expand it to take up the whole screen, giving you a focused interface with no tabs."

Moffenzeef Modular Stargazer // Drones, distortion, destruction & NO TALKING!

Published on Nov 9, 2018 DivKidVideo

"Here's my first video with the Moffenzeef Modular mega drone, distortion, hands on box of fun ... Stargazer. In this video there's no talking, just a series of patches showing off various patches (not really patches, or is it?) with the unit both totally dry and then mixed against some Eurorack drum sounds.

80s Chord Voicing Tutorial

Published on Nov 9, 2018

"Thought it might be of use to do a video showing how to voice your everyday vanilla chords in an 80s way. It’s actually very simple, so hopefully it’s easy to grasp.

Here’s some emulations of the Juno-6, although it now seems the most popular one (the TAL-UNO-X) is no longer free and costs around £45. But that’s still very cheap for what it is.

All the featured chords if you want them written down (commence debate about whether 11 chords exist):

Fmaj7sus2 (LH = F C / RH = F G C E)

Dm11 (LH = D A / RH = F G A C)

Bbadd2 (LH = Bb F / RH = C D F)

Gm7sus2/4 (LH = G D / A C F)

Cadd4 (LH = C G / RH = C E F G)

Dm11 (LH = D A / C E F G)

F/C (LH = C F A / RH = C F A)

F/A (LH = A F / RH = A C F)

Ab6 (LH = Ab Eb / RH = C Eb F)

Gm7sus4 (LH = G D / C D F)

Thanks for watching."

The cheapest way to get a Linndrum or DMX drum machine without paying blood. Awesome solution.

Published on Nov 9, 2018 Espen Kraft

"Many musicians doing synth based music dream of a Linndrum, LM-1 and/or a Oberheim DMX. The first two go for ridiculously high prices these days.
In this video I show you that by getting a much cheaper Sequential TOM drum machine instead, you can get cartridges with the Linndrum/LM-1/DMX sounds. In contrary to many other cheaper drum machines with swapped ROM sounds the TOM has the ability to TUNE, PAN, adjust VOLUME and play the cartridge sounds in REVERSE, just like the Linndrum, all programmable. To me this is the ultimate solution to get those sounds for a lot less than buying the price-inflated original Linns.

If you want to get these cartridges for your own Sequential TOM drum machine you can find them here:
