CatSynth TV: E350 Morphing Terrarium [Episode 98]

Published on Dec 8, 2018 CatSynth TV

http://catsynth.com

"A demonstration of the E350 Morphing Terrarium from Synthesis Technology. The E350 is a wavetable oscillator that allows morphing between a large number of waveforms along three axes of control.

We go through the basic functionality of the bank-selection and Morph X,Y and Z controls. We then use the LFOs and keyboard of the Arturia MiniBrute for expressive control of the module and its parameters.

This demo also includes a brief introduction to the MTX "Morphing Terrarium Expander" from Manhattan Analog that provides access to hidden parameters, including morph/phase toggle and "glitch" mode that switches between wavetables without the smooth morphing.

Because it's not worth it...

Out of curiosity, anyone know how long until the rechargeable batteries die on these?

Update: you might want to see this before you shell out top dollar for an OP-1.

New Percussa mSSP Demos - Oberheim / OB 4-Voice, Wavetable, & Granular Patch Demos

Published on Dec 8, 2018 PERCUSSA

via Kickstarter:

"The past days we worked on more patches and videos for the Percussa mSSP kickstarter. Here is the first one in the series we'll be posting: a subtractive synthesis patch featuring 32 modules running in parallel on the mSSP: each voice consists of 2 oscillators + SVF + 2 ENVs + MIDI. There is also an fx chain built into the patch and we apply external SVF cutoff and FM modulation in this video as well (using make noise function and intellijel dixie II modules)."

And some additional demos featuring an 8-voice wavetable and granular synth patches:

Playlist:

1. mssp proto demo 1
"8-voice wavetable synthesis patch, controlled via MIDI, with each voice consisting of a wavetable oscillator with 3D morphing, ADSR envelope, input modulation, MIDI module, and a bus module. The patch also has a delay and reverb module before going to the output module where the signals are routed to the output channels."
2. mssp proto demo 2
3. mssp proto demo 3
"granular patch with input (start/length) modulation, and a delay and reverb processor, right before the output module. Sample used for the granular demo is choir sings -Magnificat- 140928.wav by klankbeeld / capella ducis on freesound.org."

LUV. WALDORF QUANTUM

"For that preset, I used 2 layers, 6 oscillators, 2 analog filter settings

Live recording. Everything comes from the Waldorf Quantum. No external FX, no external sounds.

Added some dialogs in postproduction.

If you liked LUV, please comment!

Caronagraphic // Digitone and Deluge ambient

Published on Dec 8, 2018 rustyjaw

"Further explorations of the Deluge, learning to use the arranger. It feels like having a super power to have such control over song structure after spending so much time working only on a modular.

This is 3 tracks from the Digitone, drums from Deluge, arppegiated synth line is Deluge, bass is JP-08.

The only module being used here is the 4MS DLD, which is adding a subtle delay on the bassline.

Deluge audio runs through Flint (it's hidden behind the stand), Digitone runs through the H9. Everything is recorded to 3 stereo tracks on the Zoom H6.

Please excuse the flickering lights! Or alternatively, enjoy the light show. The refresh rate of the LEDs interferes with the 30fps video capture. I'll have to figure out a better way to do this."
