I think the Prophet 6 is a great sounding analog Synthesizer. The resonance and the VCOs are so alive. The P6 can sound hard and smooth."

As the world’s first electro-mechanical desktop synthesizer, MOTOR Synth really represents a new method of analogue audio signal synthesis since digitally-controlled electromotors (used to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy) have never before been used as the principal sound source for a commercial musical instrument. In a nutshell, MOTOR Synth produces sounds by accelerating and decelerating eight electromotors to precise RPMs (revolutions per minute) that correspond with specific musical notes. Each electromotor is fitted with a magnetic pickup/inductor and an infrared photosensor that reads a spinning optical disc with printed sine, sawtooth, and square wave-shapes. "Thanks to the hungarian distributor Audmax I`ve had a chance to play with this little box for a short time. Due to the character of the sound I used EQ one time to don`t kill any speakers and the reverb and Echo effects from Ableton in one place. Beside them no other FX was used. Every sound comes from the Volca itself."
