Gecho v2 and Pocket Operator PO-20 Arcade

Published on Sep 12, 2019 Gecho Loopsynth

"Apologies for the video quality, cellphone camera is easily confused by bright LED lights.

The sound, on the other hand, is presented in its raw form; it was recorded digitally to micro-SD card (note the only cables plugged in are headphones and line input from PO), and was not normalized or edited except for fade in/out and lowering the volume a bit when the dog barked :)

Gecho can detect sync signal from PO while idle and set the global tempo parameter by it, but this is not implemented during play."

Panoptigon PIPE ORGAN II Disc plays Disneyland Haunted Mansion

Published on Sep 12, 2019 optigandotcom

https://optigan.com/product/panoptigo...

"Announcing a new disc for PANOPTIGON from Quilter Labs! This is the second disc in the new Panoptigon format, only playable on Panoptigon.

This time we've dug back into the Optigan/Orchestron master tape archive to bring you PIPE ORGAN II. This was an alternate registration (flute & diapason stops) of the Whitney Studios Pipe Organ heard on the Optigan "Majestic Pipe Organ" and Orchestron "Pipe Organ" discs. This particular pipe organ sound is being heard for the first time on this disc, and in a full 60-note scale instead of the more limited 37 note scale of the previous pipe organ sound.

Recordings of the Whitney Studios organ are heard every day as the musical backdrop to Disneyland's Haunted Mansion ride, so in honor of the 50th anniversary of the ride, we've tracked down a midi file of "Grim Grinning Ghosts" and played it w/ Pipe Organ II. And to keep the mood going, you'll also hear Bach's famous Toccata & Fugue in D Minor.

PIPE ORGAN II can only be played on PANOPTIGON, and is NOT compatible with Optigan or Orchestron."

Analogue Solutions Impulse Command Played and Sequenced via CV Control

Published on Sep 12, 2019 rezfilter

"Here's a quick little video of the Analogue Solutions Impulse Command being played (as a standard synth would be played!) and also taking the same sound and sequencing then transposing it via the Impulse Command's internal analogue sequencer.

Not only does the IC excel at creating some of of the best analogue sequencer loops you can muster, but it's also a fantastic, versatile and playable synth controllable via MIDI or CV.

Note: The custom blue face is limited in supply. Contact AS regarding this point.

Enjoy!"

Update:

Live Studio Synth Jam Analogue Solutions CV-ONLY (no midi)

Published on Sep 12, 2019 rezfilter

"Here's a little fun, loosely filmed, live jam using only CV (no MIDI) with a handful of synths (mostly Analogue Solutions) including a couple of classics -- ObieRack (little bass) + ARP 2600 (kick).

The Impulse Command (ltd. blue edition) was played live while the other synths were driven live by analogue sequencers (chained) and were tweaked live.

Enjoy!"

Moog Matriarch - 15 Minutes of Analog Synth experimentation (No talking)

Published on Sep 12, 2019 Expanding Sound

"I left this video largely unedited, except for cleaning up a couple dead air moments here and there. I just wanted to share the absolute joy I had with this synth, playing and experimenting with it. I spent a few hours diving into the manual. It was well worth the time spent. There is a lot under the hood of the Matriarch. I feel like they nailed the layout, its very easy to understand and you can lose yourself for hours playing and patching. I've had it for two days and have spent quite a bit of time losing myself in it already. I think it's an incredible sounding synth. What do you think? Let me know!"
