Update: price dropped to $2500

"First things first: No! This is not a sticker or fu$&ing refrigerator magnet! This is an actual genuine real life PPG Waveterm Synthesizer. Monitor unit only, I don’t have the keyboard that goes with it, nor do I have any other hardware or software that this machine may require.

I honestly don’t know anything about this machine other than it’s very rare. It was amongst a whole bunch of various stuff left in a storage unit I purchased. Did a tiny amount of research on the item and am now selling it.

As seen in the pics, it does power right up and the screen works just fine. Thats all I know for a fact that it does. I have no way and/or knowledge of how to test the rest of its capabilities, but it comes on as soon as it’s turned on, doesn’t make a peep while on, doesn’t omit any strange odors, so I’m confident it will in fact do any and everything it was originally designed to do...... with the proper hardware that, again, does not come with this unit.

***The stated asking price is not for real. I’ve had trouble trying to price this thing and was hoping any interested parties could message me what they think it’s probably worth and/or make an offer, or at the very least I can have it on here longer than 7-10 days so as to hopefully drum up more interest before I either lower the price or re-list it as an auction.

It is safe and secure and ready for travel in its fitted rack mount flight case, made by Calzone.

Total weight on this unit in the case is 78 1/2 lbs, which means it will have to be mailed via Freight. It will be mailed via FedEx or UPS, I’m not trusting the USPS to deliver it safely. It will be insured for the final selling price. It’s dimensions are 27”x 20” x 19”."

"Up for sale is this 1970s Yamaha CS-60 from our recording studio. This CS-60 has been very well maintained and professionally cared for over the years. We have the original hardtop for it too but one of the latches is missing. We used the top as a dust cover when the keyboard wasn't being played. There are a few cosmetic marks near the ribbon controller which are strictly visual and do not interfere with the function. The CS-60 is 100% functional, perfectly tuned and ready to be integrated into your workflow!

The CS-60 is easy to play. While they are high technology musical instruments, you don’t have to know about electronics to understand how to use them. The CS-60 will give you a incredible variety of electronic sounds, but it goes further than that.

The CS-60 is a unique polyphonic synthesizer which place the entire realm of musical expression at your fingertips. The CS-60 enables you to play 8 notes simultaneously. The CS-60 is a true musical instrument, not merely a “special effects” tool. The sounds are infinitely variable, and because the keyboard is touch sensitive, you have increased dynamic control over your music."

The Galaxy Electric - Buchla Cosmic Drone - Session 1 - Modular Drone Music

Published on Nov 21, 2019 The Galaxy Electric

"The Galaxy Electric - Buchla Cosmic Drone - Session 1 - 11/18/19 - Modular Drone Music

Relax and tune into our live weekly Drone Sessions. This inaugural session involves a drone featuring 4 Buchla style square wave oscillators starting in tune a couple octaves apart. As the oscillator frequencies drift apart by way of manual control beating ensues. Listening to droning oscillators can serve as an aid in a meditation practice as there is no sudden changes in sound. Just smooth drifts in pitch and the resulting beat frequencies. Drones can also serve as an ambient track to have on while doing tasks that require intense focus. The slow yet progressive nature of a drone performance can help one focus on tasks without distraction.

The electronic music instruments used in this performance of modular drone music are the Buchla Music Easel, and a small system involving a Buchla clone model 259 Programmable Complex Waveform Generator, Buchla 292h Dual Lowpass Gate, and 281h Dual Function Generator in the Buchla LEM Powered 3 Boat."

Patch and Tell - E1 - Buchla Clones 280r 266r Pseudo Sequence - Source of Uncertainty - 1979 DAO

"Augustus Green of The Galaxy Electric uses a Buchla inspired modular synthesizer system to demonstrate making a randomly generated pseudo sequence using the 266r Source of Uncertainty Buchla clone, 280r Quad Envelope Generator Buchla clone, 1979 modular Dual Algorithmic Oscillator DAO, and 292c Quad Lopass Gate Buchla clone. The DAO is a dual version of the masterful Émilie Gillet's Mutable Instruments Braids. The new dual interface design and electrical engineering to assure Buchla system compatibility was performed by 1979 modular. The HARM and TOY* Algorithms are featured in this patch. The varied pitches as well as the animation of the DAO's parameters are being generated at random by the Source of Uncertainty. The 292c Quad Lopass Gate is used as a dual VCA in this instance and is being animated by the 280r Quad Envelope Generator. This is a modular synthesizer tutorial and demonstration that focuses on the Buchla modular synthesizer system."
