"A lot of love went into this machine. All capacitors have been replaced by new, high quality, low ESR ones by Nichicon, Panasonic, etc. The power supply section was upgraded. A new power supply module was fitted. All keys were cleaned. Comes with a RAM module.
This machine sounds amazing. Lush, full-bodied, dirty when pushed. And the retro eighties looks are stunning. A real asset to your setup!

It features:

- MIDI
- Bi-timbrality
- Velocity sensitivity on a really good keyboard (Fatar)
- 8 voices of polyphony
- Chord memory
- Stereo output, stereo chorus"

POLYGOGO Stereo Polygonal Oscillator Sounds - Eurorack Modular Synthesizer

Published on Dec 28, 2019 MIKE LEE BIRDS

"A first wiggling session with the about-to-be released POLYGOGO Polygonal Stereo Oscillator by E-RM Erfindungsbüro.

It’s an incredibly intuitive and hands-on module with tons of soundscaping capabilities.

The screen beautifully visualizes the modulations and sonic changes. I find it very useful for understanding what‘s going on with the knobs and sliders.

Polygogo is running through Clouds/Monsoon‘s reverb. At 4:25 Clouds starts doing its thing with a bit of pitch shifting for good measure."

Philip Glass' Opening from Glassworks on Modular Synthesizer

Published on Dec 28, 2019 musicartgeek

"A lot of liberties taken here, but it's based on the opening from Philip Glass' seminal Glassworks. I like to think of it as a pencil sketch by a student sitting in front of a masterpiece in the Met.

One of many departures from the original that I made was rather than the two over three metre of the original (or is it three over two? it keeps on changing!), I used a Doepfer Clock Divider to arbitrarily assign gates to the five voices using only prime number ratios for the rhythmic divisions, in this case 5, 7, 11, and 13, but I cheated with the 4 underneath! The final moments are given over to the Doepfer 154/155 Sequencer system, creating one-shot aleatoric figures."

CAVISYNTH ODLPG Basic Tutorial

Published on Dec 28, 2019 Robotopsy Robotopsy

"Some tips for the ODLPG from Cavisynth."

"This module was designed and assembled in Switzerland by hand and with love.

“ODLPG” = Opto – Disto – Low – Pass – Gate

ODLPG is a lowpass gate whose circuit is based on the diversion of an optocoupler usually used to electrically isolate two circuits.

In other words: it is a vactrol that controls the opening of the VCA and the filter at the same time, giving a particular roundness to the sound.

In addition, this circuit architecture extremely simple, adds a little distortion when the CV that comes from your EG is quite strong.

The “curve / drive” knob increases the opening of the filter and the (light) saturation value at the same time.

The panel is matte black (like the Bufflide)

Technical specifications:

Format – Eurorack
Power consumption – 10mA [-12V] // 10mA [+12V]
Module width – 4HP (20mm)
Module depth – 12mm (Skiff super friendly)
Weight – 35g"

emw multiwave digital oscillator part I - wave analysis

Published on Dec 28, 2019 impurfekt

"please support the channel: https://impurfekt.bandcamp.com

the multiwave digital oscillator from emw has 40 main oscillator waveforms and 8 sub-oscillator waveforms. it uses a multi-algorithm structure to produce dynamic waveforms (as seen via the oscilloscope). synthesis methods available are: wavetable modulation, fm, wave distortion, formant shifting, timbre stretching and windowed sync. the sound palette on tap is staggering.

this video shows each waveform and how they respond to the wavefolder knob. part II will feature musical examples."
