Clockwork

Published on Feb 21, 2020 synthjunk

"A track from my new EP called C64 is your friend, which is available on Bandcamp, Spotify and other streaming sites. All the sounds on the EP were made using a commodore 64 computer. A vintage Akai S612 sampler was also used to sample the C64 to allow playing chords. Hope you enjoy it."

"1976 Moog Minitmoog! All original, and very few were produced in the 1 year they were sold. This is the best price for a Minitmoog on the planet!

The Minitmoog has the functional equivalence of two Moog Satellites! It has 2 oscillators, so you can do things like layer or detune 2 different sounds for a really fat analog voice.

The Minitmoog was originally sold as a quick voicing synth for players performing live on stage. The presets were at your fingertips! Its relatively small, and will fit into any stage rig easily.

The Voicings even included a Taurus bass, so you know its got that unique analog Moog bass sound!"

"Wersi WERSI MATIC CX1 is a programmable rhythm machine / accompaniment from Germany.

The Wersi CX-1 is a Preset Rhythm Accompaniment and Drum Computer. It offers 64 presets with analog based sounds for drums and rhythm accompaniment. It has 3 sounds for bass, 5 for rhythms and 5 for accompaniment sequences. There is no sound editing of the internal synthesizer but the rhythm and drum sequences are user programmable and can be stored internally or via tape interface.

The CX1 has preset rhythms and is also programmable. It has analog sound generation for the drums and the accompaniment. Tape interface for storing own patterns onto tape – like on analog synths as Korg Polysix or Roland Juno-60. The drums sound a bit like the Korg KR-55.

The CX1 was also included in Wersi organs of the day.

Original receipt from 1983 $2,124

"Novation’s Analogue Sound Modeling Supernova in great shape! Used in great rack shape with light scratches on top (pictured). Only flaw is that the filter’s frequency knob jumbles the values slightly around the half-way point (should be fine controlled through midi controller). Otherwise, a great piece of machinery with potential for great pads, stabby synths, shredding bass tones, and all the goodness of virtual analog!"

"This synthesizer has just been fully serviced by Synthchaser, the west coast's leading ARP specialist - recapped, new key bushings, new LED sliders, new reliable pushbutton switches, clean, fully functional, calibrated, in tune and sounding great. This keyboard is the sound of Joy Division and is all over The Cars' "Moving In Stereo", and many other late 70's/early 80's albums. It produces the lush Solina/String Ensemble sounds plus has a polyphonic synthesizer section with a voltage controlled filter, LFO, and ADSR, and a dedicated bass synthesizer section.

Roland Jupiter-X | First Impressions & Sounds From Scratch

Published on Feb 21, 2020 MR TUNA Music

"Just got my hands on the new Roland Jupiter-X and I wanted to get a jump on some videos right away, so here's my first impressions and some sounds from scratch using the included Jupiter-8 engine and some of the built-in effects.

There's lots more worth touching base on that I hope to cover in later videos, but for now, know this thing is a TANK. It's a serious upgrade over the System-8 build quality-wise and the keys are some of the best I've ever played (which is very important to me! {duh!}).

Otherwise, keep in mind this is essentially a pre-release unit and as such I don't have a manual, or any drivers so I'm just sort of figuring it all out as I go, but that being said I will be spending a lot of time trying to figure this thing out and get to the bottom of it all-- So let me know if you have any specific questions I can answer for you."
