Hadn't heard of this one before.

"It has the JP-8000 desease. Apparently, this is a very common problem. When you first switch it on, the output is quiet and distorted. However, after about 5-7 minutes (a little warm-up time), it roars into life and stays like this until the next switch-off and cool down. Apparently, this is due to a specific capacitor which costs about 80p and a bit of solder, but this is much beyond my capabilities. This problem started not long after I had it and has never gotten any worse or let me down."

"It's 21030058, in UK. It was fully serviced by Ben at CyberWave a few years ago (), who is the guy to service them in UK. He also sorted out two extra voicecards I have, so you'll have two spare as back up. He did a great job, background hum is non-existent, you plug it in and think you haven't until you hit a note.

Also, comes with the original pedal. CC+ and SPSU, so all the required upgrades are in.

It's an early one, so quite a lot of the boards are white Arp ones and has been in my smoke-free studio, mounted securely since I bought it in 2009.

I'm selling for £7,500 (GBP) + shipping, which is a couple 1,000 cheaper than the last I saw go like this."

You can find demos of one here.

"A true arcade-style keyboard and mono-synth, emulating the chip-tune sounds of old. It does all the old arpeggiator effects and classic Nintendo/Sega sounds you’ll recognise, and even has a small built-in speaker.

Playing on the arcade game switches is a truly unique experience, great fun, and then you have that great big red joystick for pitch-bend and octave selection. Very clicky-clacky but a unique experience. There’s even a guitar strap mount which I’ve never tried :)

It’s in great condition, no scratched I’m aware of, solid metal enclosure and switches that are probably guaranteed for heavy gaming abuse.

Has MIDI In/Out/Thru so you can use it to drive other gear too.

Plain fun - this is not a serious bit of kit - but will definitely spice up your studio and everybody will want to play it!"

Snyderphonics Manta Technique Demonstration

Jeff Snyder - additional demo here.

"This is an example of an effective technique for using the continuous data from the sensors on the Snyderphonics Manta.

While it's possible to get useful data from the sensors when conceiving of them as a sort of psuedo-pressure sensor, they are actually sensing the total surface area covered by the finger. The technique demonstrated here is what we have found to be the most effective way to achieve a nice range of control over the sensors.

Placing your finger on the sensor with the flat part of the fingertip covering as much surface area as possible, and then rolling the finger up until only the tip is touching the top of the hexagon will produce a smooth decrease in sensor values.

Conversely, starting with the finger pointing straight down, and the fingernail just above the top of the sensor, then rolling the finger down to cover more surface area, will produce a smooth increase in sensor values."

GS Apollo synthesizer with an LDR

GS Music

"The new Apollo Synthesizer features some CV/gate inputs. They can be used as regular CV inputs using a TS connector. By using a TRS connector it is possible to use an LDR (light sensor) to control any of them.
In this video we are controlling the filter CV input with light intensity."
