"The rare ST-10 is the big brother to famous Suiko ST-50 and was designed to accompany poetry. It has only 3 traditional Japanese instrument sounds, shakuhachi, koto and pipe organ. The samples are clean and sound fantastic with some reverb or other effects. But while it lacks the many instrumental sounds of its younger siblings, it makes up for it with its retro wood-panel styling, integrated speaker and onboard cassette tape sequencer. The data cassette player is used to record and playback note data in sequence, and the instruments can be changed during playback. Tested and 100% functional, this ST-10 comes in the original tolex hard travel case with manual. Power is 100V, and while a stepdown converter is not needed, it is recommended."

Roland Alpha Juno Chorus Compared to the legends: JUNO-6, JX-3P, JX-10, JU-06A (60 and 106 models)

video upload by thesrabbit

"The Roland Alpha Juno 1, 2, and MKS-50 have the same legendary BBD chorus chips as the rest of the 80's Roland classics, with one major difference: variable chorus rate! I've gone through and mapped out the actual chorus rates of all possible values, from 0 to 127. I've also measured the chorus rates of every Roland synth I own, and found which chorus rate values on the Alpha Juno best align with each of them. This includes the JUNO-6, JX-3P, JX-10, and JU-06A, which has built-in JUNO-60 and JUNO-106 emulations.

Contents:

For a full rundown of my findings, look no further: https://eokuwwy.blogspot.com/2021/06/...

If you are interested in hearing how the chorus on the Alpha Juno compares to the other Roland giants, then this video is for you! There's a small section at the end that shows how I measured the chorus rates, so you can do the same.

This is not intended to see how the Alpha Juno stacks up overall sound wise against the others and there is no real patch matching. That would have taken way too long, and this video is already long enough. I'd suggest heading over to Starsky-Carr's channel if you're interested in that sort of thing (his Alpha Juno vs 106 video is definitely worth the watch)."

SET YOUR PHASERS TO STUN!!🖖 - Moog MF-103 vs Dreadbox Lethargy

video upload by Noir Et Blanc Vie

"*Subjective opinions within, those who do not understand subjective opinion may be excused lol*

TLDR: I bought a $200 freaking phaser pedal JUST to make a video when I already have a phaser pedal that's way sicker...no hate Dreadbox, it's real good!

I promised I'd buy this Lethargy pedal so I did. The ONLY thing I'll say as a negative, it didn't seem the Lethargy was as good with ULTRA low bass frequencies. Like, it wasn't as good at handling high input low end frequencies where as the MF-103 could do it all smoothly. Honestly, MAKE UP YOU OWN MIND WHILE LISTENING. lol

Overall, look, the Moog is better to me, but at the prices today, you're better off going Dreadbox."

Korg Wavestate Sound Bank Vol 2 for Berlin School and Ambient

video upload by Waveformer

"Waveformer presents the "Berlin School and Ambient Construction Kit Vol 2" soundbank for Korg Wavestate - available for purchase from https://gumroad.com/waveformer.

This is my second soundbank for the incredible Korg Wavestate synthesizer, built over a period of 6 months in the first half of 2021. The soundbank has 22 original Performances inspired by the Berlin School of Electronic Music, and it continues in the spirit of the first volume released at the end of 2020.

All the Performances are built from four Layers, each with multiple Lanes of Wave Sequences. The Performances use Arpeggiators, allowing you to play a few notes, perhaps a short melodic phrase, and the Arpeggiators and Wave Sequences will take it from there, play the notes in different order and automate the parameters in a musical way. The Performances are designed for live tweaking, taking advantage of the Wave Sequences to modify rhythm, pitch, timbre and dynamics. The individual Layers in a Performance are designed so they both work well together and can play alone – just like individual members of a band.

The accompanying user manual describes each Performance in detail, with a guide to both playing and twisting knobs. It also includes some general tips and tricks for the Wavestate and some insight into how these Performances were built.

I hope you enjoy playing this soundbank as much as I have enjoyed making it :-)"
