Matrixsynth by Reed

How do you one up The Sage? Buchla. That's a 200e. Yowsa!

Matrixsynth has officially graced the inner electronics of a Buchla. : ) That's probably the closest I'll ever get to one in a long, long time. Thank you Reed!

  1. I only use 200e stuff for control voltages. Want an mp3 of direct current between 0 & 10 volts?

  2. there should be a format: cv3, for control voltages :)

Do you find much CV quantizing artifacts with the 200e?

  3. haha.. I was going to do the same thing but reed beat me to it!

  4. The main artifacting that people were bitching about had to do with external cv's into the 259e oscillator, but it was kind of a neat arpeggiating effect. Other folks have mentioned resolution issues with Midi pitch bend, but I haven't gone down that road.

The 249e Darf makes for a handy programmable pitch quantizer, although if you use its alter ego the 250 to do real-time quantization on external inputs it can be a little sluggish.

Other than that, the outputs have been nice & smoove.
