ReplyDeleteEither I'm spoiled by my Virus Ti or I just haven't seen anything impressive lately. What I think the industry needs to start doing is TRUE ANALOG synths. If you look at synth prices for "vintage" stuff - you will see that perhaps there's a niche to be claimed there. Not by a pseudo-analog, not by semi-analog BUT BY TRUE, HARDCORE, NO DIGITAL SIGNAL PATH IN SIGHT analog.
Now, that would get my wallet tingling and my heart beating just a little faster. alas, as it stands right now - it's back to "praying for rain".
Zeroc001 might be enticed by the new Macbeth keyboard on the horizon...
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, by "pricing estimates revealed" I believe Matrix meant "he doesn't have one bit of a clue yet," but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to afford it regardless.
Besides, my next $3000 keyboard will be a "Matrixsynth-edition" Voyager... jade on black. Ehh, that'll be... 2008, maybe... if I'm lucky...
