ReplyDeleteI don't know who that guy is, and I'm sure he's got his talents, but you'd think they'd come up with a better demonstration for a new product. AFAIK, the new MPC is capable of quite a bit more than the usual uninspired 'beat-juggling'

agreed. But I am limited to a 3 or 4 minute demo. I was using the va synth with arpegiator, the sequencer, the qlinks qhich were controlling the fx send and parameters plus multiple mute groups randomly triggering loops which were rearranged using the chopshop in the MPC. Thats all prep work that I explain before and after the demo. Of course I could have composed a track on the fly but I was showing some of the more performance features.
