Seems like a likeable person. Interesting and forthright. I agree with the principle of some limitations. Put complexity in the right place. I really do love gear and synths, but I let myself go i'd quickly find myself in kind of an ivory tower of synth museum no money and more synths than tracks :) ...lots of options here there hard to commit to anything. That said everybody has their own way to find insipration.
ReplyDeleteNice videos, I've been wanting to see this fella's setup...
ReplyDeleteLimitations? Indeed!
"You need to have discipline in order to be truly creative. If you're just given total freedom to do anything you like... You've got to impose some discipline on either the form you're going to use or the sounds you're going to use."
-Delia Derbyshire
Great info on "The beginning of the end", I have been thinking about the ways to get those sounds for a while, and I know others who have as well.
ReplyDeleteThere is a thread on gearslutz speculating if its a guitar or a synth or something that broke.
Cool video.
