Wiard Malekko Pogs - Wooden Nickels

via navs.modular.lab where you'll find images and samples featuring Wiard, Makenoise, Plan B and more.

pogs, chips - for searching later...

thx goes to twitter.com/ThomasGHenry for answering my call on what these are called. I was drawing a blank and it was driving me nuts...

Update: according to those in the comments, these are wooden nickels, not pogs. I was thinking pogs when I saw them, but now we know.

  1. I dunno if those are pogs.
Poges evolved from paper caps from milk bottles, and were alwasy cardboard AFAIK.
These look more like they're made from rock maple... wooden nickels.
Most wooden nickels were cheap pine, but hard rock maple wooden nickels can be had from a place in TX and are promoted for uses like business cards, etc.
I had some that looked like these made up for one of my hair-brained schemes once.
    Geocachers get them made too.

  2. As a former midwesterner, those look like wooden nickels to me too.

I guess you'd need to save up a lot of them to buy the module ☺

  3. If you flip them over i think they even say "wooden nickel" on them.
