uh
ReplyDeleteI thought that was both interesting and inspiring, but "synth babe"?
ReplyDeleteAh, "synth babes".
ReplyDeleteyes, a mildly derogative tag that indicate that there's a female somehow tangentially involved in the topic.
Can't we lose that tag now? Haven't we all grown up a bit now? Please
interesting and cool. but this piece needs two things badly.. better lighting.. even just a soft spot light following the dancer and turn out those room lights. and the dancer should be wearing some red tights or something. i find the bare legs completely distracting and out of place.. it creates a lack of continuity. to me anyways....
ReplyDeleteIt's not going away Machinate. Anyone bothered by the term is pretty immature in my book.
ReplyDeletedon't loose the synth babe tag.
ReplyDeletedon't support sterilizing language to German engineering perfection.
Synth babes - you bet
ReplyDeletebare legs even better
baghead? always MY favorite - hands down
only negative is the buchla never sounded like an electric banjo
snark
I love it. It is beautiful. Makes me very happy. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Steve, the right lighting would really make this piece come alive. This seems more like a rehearsal. Cool stuff.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's time for a "High Art Synth Babes" tag?
As a former dancer and appreciator of arts combined, this was a fine video for me.
ReplyDeleteI agree with steve on the lighting, in the right room it would have been.. well, imagine That Place out of Blade Runner?
My second face synth related dance is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cB121qgYmv8 :)
Another good name for this would be "Escape From Red Wallpaper".........
ReplyDeleteI hate to keep om picking on a scab, but somebody needs to address this - to Machinate, I say keep your shirt on - it's a free site, don't look.
ReplyDeleteTo matrix, dear friend, to say that someone is immature because they are bothered by the expression "synth Babe", is sort of like saying "anyone that doesn't believe that Godzilla is King of the Monsters is uneducated". In other words, the irony in what you wrote is stunning.
Welcome to life.
ReplyDeletetry not to take it too seriously.
