"During all those years that RX11 has been around I have never seen anyone mention the factory reset procedure or test mode. RX11 manuals (even the Service Manual) do not provide any hints. The funny thing is, even Yamaha itself does not seem to know about those, see yourself.

However, this is simply not true. The factory reset and test procedures have been among us all the time, so here's the 'big news': Pressing and holding STOP/CONTINUE and +1/YES buttons while switching the machine on performs factory reset after displaying exact ROM version number for a moment. Factory reset cleans up the most critical RAM area and restores factory defaults for the following settings that could otherwise prohibit RX11 from acting normally (all numbers are in hex)..."  See the wolzow link above for more."
