via the seller: "Well here it folks. I have been holding onto this bad boy for awhile now. Its time for the world to see it. This is one of a few early and prototype Polymoogs I acquired from the estate of Anthony Marchese. He was instrumental in the development of the Polymoog. As well as the X-1 fighter jet. But that's a different story. You may remember the "Polypreset" I sold a while back. This is from the same collection. This appears to be an early mock up of the 203A. It has allot of fully developed parts in it. That are common to just about all 280a's and 203a's. However. The center resonator board is completely hand built. There is also a second hand built board behind the output bank. The other thing unique about this machine is the interface. The left side of the interface is not the same as the production units. This unit does work. Although it does need work. I was able to sound out of all but 3 keys. All voices work. Though they need the 'keyboard response' section switched to variable. In preset mode less than half the voices work. The sound from the machine is less than perfect. But hey its a Polymoog that has not been serviced. Cosmetically the piece shows its age. It can be restored or left as is for collector value. Please check the pics closely for condition. This really belongs in a synth museum somewhere..."
