Vintage Doepfer Sound Sampler

Update: Turns out this was not Doepfer's first creation (see the timeline here).  You can find some history on the Sound Sampler previously captured here and here.

I' dug out a Doepfer Sound Sampler. It has a sound interface and 8 voice cards. I found also the Building instructions. I know that it can be used in connection with a C64 computer, but the ribbon cable which connects the sampler with the computer is broken. So I cannot check the functionality.
[...] My father has built it in the 80ies, as he hoped to get the fairlight sound, but he was disappointed by the results.

Comment from Florian: Appearently this is a really complete system. Consisting of the voice card and the loop card for each voice and the interface card for the C64."
