"There is no issue with a leaking battery. The previous owner replaced the on-board battery with an off-board battery pack that uses 4 AA batteries (see the last picture in the gallery). Not only does this remove the risk of damaging the circuit board, it also provides reliable, long lasting memory. I've used the same batteries for up to 2 years at a time."
