Analog Solutions TransBass XPress

Saw this one on Analgue Haven where you can find samples.
"Key Features of the TBX-303:
Pure analogue voice circuitry.
Accurate TB303 circuitry clone.
Physically the same size and layout.
Extra tone controls and circuits for more sound variety e.g. LFO, CrossMod. Rugged steel construction.
MIDI In for software sequencer control."

More info on the Analog Solutions page as well. It's also referred to as the TB-X and TBX-303.

  1. no sequencer=bummer
too many "clones" around already, even fairly good software ones
    - so I wonder how this is ever going to sell...

  2. I can agree with Pac's above statement. Why would someone build a synth without a sequencer or an arpeggiator? turning knobs with both hands is fun !!!

  3. I tried it out last week. When playing it by Midi, if you play legato style, it will slide up to the next note otherwise one at a time. Best off building sequences in a sequencer and programming the overlapping notes and octaving. Playing it live and tweaking is more like playting a regular bass monosynth. But, it has more features than a regular 303 like an LFO and squelch control. The sound was about as close to a 303 as any other clone, not so much, a bit more edgy and modular like.

  4. Too much for a box. No sequencer is just a killer for most i'm sure. Get on the x0xb0x waiting list. Far better unit for 1/3 the price.

  5. Oh, and when you're done building the x0x, you can sell it for 3X the price you paid for the kit!
