"...even though it is an output, you can use it as an input"
ReplyDeleteYou gotta love stuff like that!
It seems to be a cool machine. Way more interesting than I thought it would be.
I do wish, however, that Jared had asked some modular users whether to have the patching above or below the knobs. Not a mojor issue probably, but even in this little demo we see how the chords obstruct the knobs.
Anyway, I am looking forward to play with the XS myself.
this is really looking like an interesting toy.
ReplyDeleteas a tweakable tabletop unit, i do prefer the jacks up top or off to the side. cord clutter is perfectly normal with patch cord modulars :)
Really nice! And I like how he is enjoying it while he demonstrates. Says a lot in a product and the commitment to it. I am keeping an eye on this one! :)
ReplyDeleteWith the knobs being small, I'll prefer the patch below than on top. But no biggie, just ergonomic preferences.
AHHH! I've been waiting so long for this thing. When will it be available!?!?!
ReplyDeleteFR kicks ass. I was never into the whole 303 thing to start with - but I bought a 777 when it was still around in shops. It is really very useful and flexible. More recently I got the mobius as a trigger step sequencer, even that has paid off in a short time. Funny thing I'm always sceptical about the pricetag but in hindsight all their stuff makes so much sense. So big thanks to J.
ReplyDeleteInteresting ideas with the envelope modes and accent stuff..
ReplyDeleteJered said the XS would ship in a month or so. I really, really like this synth. This is by far going to be one of the best values out there and the sound has true character, That seems hard to find in a let's share presets type of world. The XS I kinda feel like, is what happens when a 303 and a huge modular get squished together like in a cartoon or something. It's brilliant. I want one.
