Roland System 100 (NIB)

"My buddy Mat snagged this on eBay. It was part of an estate sale. It was purchased new by a young man in the late 70's and he died before it was opened. His parents took all of his belongings and stored them in their house. When they died some 20-odd years later all of the stuff went up for sale."

Your buddy deserves a special salute for buying a new in box difficult to find synth and **opening it and playing it**. You could have easily flipped it for 3-4x what you paid and bought another 101 and 102, but a real synth head knows that there's nothing better than laying your fingers on a virgin piece of hardware.
ReplyDeleteThe wait for the postman to bring that beast must have been sheer agony!
