This is great stuff. It's awesome he was able to make this. My question though is why didn't Waldorf make it instead?
ReplyDeleteI have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the after-sale support of the Blofeld. The first part was charging $150 for the (software) sample upgrade that came free with the keyboard version. Then they've been slow as all hell working on new firmware versions. The Blofeld still has plenty of bugs that need to be worked out. Nevermind that there wasn't any Waldorf programming software, even though how hard would it have been to take the Largo interface and make it work for the Blofeld? The Largo is about an exact copy of the blofeld with a few minor differences. I would have been okay with these issues 10 years ago, but not now. Now companies need to support their synth products after the sale.
Yeah, so, just disappointed by Waldorf's lack of support for the blofeld. But it's awesome that the users are picking up the slack.
OS 1.15 was just released. If you haven't yet, do check it out. The Waldorf email list is a must if you own Waldorf gear.
